Culture of Haryana
Haryana has emerged through the ravages of times and has still managed to hold on to
many of its traditions. The people of Haryana strictly adhere to their customs and
cultural traditions. Yoga and chanting of Vedic mantras have become an innate part of
their lifestyle. Most of the people of Haryana have more or less equal social status. The
factor of age is a really dominating trait in Haryana, as all elders are treated with utmost
respect and honour.
2. Manipur Culture:
The small state of Manipur is vibrant with colours and boasts of a rich culture.
Their history and customs are likely to attract many people from around the
globe. Sport forms like Polo and field hockey are quite popular. The culture of
Manipur propagated an indigenous dance form called Manipuri, where both men and
women perform with equal ease. Their religion focuses on the dance dramas
depicting the lifetime of Lord Krishna.
Innaphi and Phanek are the most common Manipuri traditional dress for
women. The people also weave a special Phanek called Mayek Naibi
where the designs on Naibi are horizontal stripes making it look beautiful.
The Meitai Females stitch a cloth which called Kanap Phanek which has
various designs on it. 'Lai-Phi' and 'Chin-Phi' are other Manipuri traditional
costume.

Manipuri language, Manipuri Meiteilon, also called Meitei (Meetei),
a Tibeto-Burman language spoken predominantly in Manipur, a
northeastern state of India. Smaller speech communities exist in the
Indian states of Assam, Mizoram, and Tripura, as well as in
Bangladesh and Myanmar (Burma).
Festivals of Haryana
To celebrate various occasions and events, a number of vibrant festivals take place in
Haryana. These festivals include Teej, Guga Navmi, Gita Jayanti, Kaartik Cultural
Festival and a unique celebration known as Sohna Car Rally. The most famous festival
of all times is Teej. It is usually celebrated on the third day of 'Shrawana' month. The
festival is celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm all over the state. Swings are set
up in the gardens and the girls apply henna on their hands.
Festivals of Manipur
Manipur hosts numerous festivals; some of the major ones are Dol Jatra
(Yaoshang ), Rath Jatra, Lai-Haraoba, Ramjan ID, KUT, Gang-Ngai, Chumpha,
Cheiraoba, Heikru Hidongba, Lui-Ngai-Ni, and Kwak Jatra.
This place is an ideal weekend getaway from Delhi for every bird and nature lover. This
place houses multiple species of migratory birds, almost 250 species, and you can spot them,
especially during winters. You can watch distinct species of birds coming from parts of
Siberia, Europe, and Central Asia from the towers built at different points of this place.
Pinjore Garden
Located 600 metres above sea level, Pinjore Garden is considered one of the best gardens
in India. This garden is adorned with fountains and vibrant flowers. You can also travel to
nearby attractions such as Mughal Garden and Bhima Devi.
Morni Hills
Morni Hills is the only hill station and one of the prefered places to visit in Haryana. It is
located on the outskirts of Panchkula, Haryana, near Chandigarh. It is popular among
tourists and locals as a great picnic spot.
Loktak Lake
Loktak Lake is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Manipur, located 53 kms
from Imphal. Considered as one of the famous lakes in India, Loktak boasts of
circular floating swamps, which is locally called phumdis.
Encircling the Loktak Lake, Keibul Lamjao National Park is best known for floating
flora of phumdis and endangered brow-antlered deer or sangai. Offering mesmeric
views of the lake, this national park, sprawling over 40 sq. km is one of the most
beautiful Manipur tourist attractions.
Tharon Cave
Tharon Cave or The Uluan Cave is among the fascinating tourist attractions in
Manipur. Located near Tamenglong, this 650 m long cave tunnel consists of carvings
and excavations of Hovnanian Culture of North Vietnam.
Singda Dam
Snugly located at about 920 m above sea level, Singda Dam is the highest mud dam
in the World and a sight to behold. Overlooking serene Singda Lake, this dam acts
as a multi-purpose irrigation project for entire Manipur.
Although Haryana State is deficient in natural forests but it has rich bio-diversity, which makes it
suitable for variety of wildlife particularly local and migratory bird species. Out of nearly 1250 bird
species recorded in Indian subcontinent; approximately 500 species of birds are found in
Haryana State. . Chief Trees Like Mullberry, eucapltus, pine , keekar , sheesham , bobool, are
some trees found here . The spieces of fauna found in the state haryana includes black buck,
nigai , panther , fox , mongoose , jackal , and wild dog..
Blessed with an amazing variety of flora and fauna, 67% of the geographical area of Manipur is
hill tract covered forests. Depending on the altitude of hill ranges, the climatic condition varies
from tropical to sub-alpine. The wet forests and the pine forests occur between 900-2700 m
above MSL and they together sustain a host of rare and endemic plant and animal life. Coveted
the world over as some of the most beautiful and precious blooms, orchids have an aura of
exotic, mysteries about them
