about leading change by watching the video –

I recently watched a presentation by Jim Hemerling who suggested that at the
time of change we should put people first. He pointed out how important it
was that all the people involved in the change process understood why it was
needed and were willing to change accordingly.
He says that all the peers and staff need to be presented with a vision and
mission to feel a sense of purpose. They need to understand their role and
how they will personally benefit the company. They need to understand why
these changes are necessary. He also states that while going into a process of
change we should go all in. he says that it is important that once the
transformation process has begun there cannot be any step back. According to
Hemerling, it is important that an organization provides its employees with all
the necessary tools and training to process change in the best way possible.
Changes cannot provide results overnight; it will take time as people cannot
get used to the new ways instantly. Organizations should also make a road
map for the future and identify the milestones so that all the employees have a
better understanding of the progress gained after the changes have taken
place.
The most interesting things that I learned from this video are –
Putting people first will make the change process much easier.
Changes are not just about the organizations but also about self-
transformation and growth.
