Upon arrival the officer spoke to the victim (AAEM who stated that he had just been assaulted at the above location. stated that he was sitting in his vehicle at the above location with the drivers side indow open. He then stated that out of nowhere he was struck on the head with a glass bottle of water. Mr. ime that he then observed fwo male suspects standing outside his car door, he slated that both SuSpECL HI and suspect #2 allempted to force entry ino his vehicle but were unsuccessful as he lacked the door. Mr. further stated that suspect #1 pulled a small kalfe aut of his pocket and moved his arm back and forth in 2nvallempt {6 stab him through the open window. stated that he climbed across his vehicle into the passenger seat to avoid contact with the knife. stated that al this time both males fled on foot up Salem Street towards Charter Street. The officer observed broken glass outside the vehicle and also observed the Victim to be bleeding with a two inch laceration on his forehead. IND «pe intron occuring Fiay February 8 2019 2013 ho with Deteive Holder details that farlior inthe morning on February 5 2019 he and Frankie Mendoza exchanged words over a traffic dispute where Frankie Mendoza was causing for a traffic jam as he entertained his gitifriend on Salem St in the N End section of Boston QJM states that he left the exchange and continued his day accordingly. states that later in the day (about 1525 hrs confirmed by security video) he was operating his silver jorer on Parmenter St towards Salem St where he observed Frankie Mendoza waving to get his attention. states he had heard rumor that Frankie Mendoza was looking for him all day so he figured it was to ‘apologize for the the incident that had occurred that morning, tates as he pulled up to Frankie Mendoza, Mr Mendoza told him to pull over to tak fadds that surprisingly there was an avaliable space Just before the curb so he pulled into it, opting fo ext his vohicle to speak with Frankie Mendoza states as he attempted to exit his car the older brother he calls "Patho" wino's name is actualy Patrick Mendoza rushed over and struck him with a glass bottle to the head. Recovered security video confirms that Frankie Mendoza breaks off the mirror and is observed swinging it towards states as he struggled to fend off the attack from the ground he obsenved Patrick Mendoza start to produce-an open knife from under his jacket. Det. Edwards (V922). ‘This is an area where officers have made numerous arrests resulting in the seizure of illegal drug(s) and criminal convictions. In addition, in recent weeks there has been a surge in reports of larcenies and breaking and entering. While of directed patrol in the area of Rose Kennedy Greenway, located at Salom Street and Cross Street, officers attention was drawn to a known drug user Ivan Molina. Molina has been arrested previously for Breaking and Entering, Also, Officer Flynn had recently completed a field interrogation and observation report on 2/27/2023, when he was observed at Fleet St and North Street, see (#FC23001066), Officers progeeded to surveil Molina as he traveled on Hanover Street directly to Café Dello Sport (308 Hanover St.). Molina was observed, while inside the Café appear to borrow and use an unknown males cellular telephone. After using the cellular phone, Molina exited the Café and traveled on Prince St. to Salem St. Det. Anderson and Officer Malcolm at this time were traveling directly behind Molina and observed him check a door handle to a.residence on Prince Street but was unsuccessful. Molina then continued to 148 Salem St. and stopped in the doorway of the building, Minutes later, officers observed a white colored SUV (Ma Reg. @) arrive and park almost directly across the street from Molina at 148 Salem St, Molina appeared to take notice of the vehicle, exited from the doorway and traveled to the front passenger side of the vehicle, Officer Malcolm, from his vantage point observed Molina remove an orange prescription pill bottle from his back pack. Molina. now with the prescription pill bottle in his hand, then placed both his hands thru the front passenger window of MA Reg J, essentially leaning on the vehicle, ‘Seconds later, Molina removed his hands and body away from the front passenger window. Officer Malcolm no longer saw the prescription pill bottie in Molina’s hand, Molina then separated from the vehicle and traveled back ‘onto Prince Street towards Hanover Street.
