Project Project Description
Type
Story Element The purpose of this project is for students to demonstrate an overall
Wheel understanding of each story element through written descriptions
and illustrations. The Story Element Wheel should give potential
readers a general preview of what the novel is about.

This project has 6 sections that represent each of the 6 story


elements.

Student Instructions
Create a Story Element Wheel that showcases your strong understanding of each
story element.

Carefully read the project rubric so you know exactly what to include in each section
of the story wheel.

Your description of each story element should be based on details from your text.

Make sure you turn your project in with a rubric attached!

Preparation Instructions
I’ve included a circle template for you to print for your students if you’d like. The
larger the circle the better! I suggest enlarging the circle when making copies.

Another option is to uses butcher paper. You’ll see the step by step process I follow to
create large circles for my students to use.

● Words/illustration is accurate, neat, and colorful

Creativity/Quality
