E224 Potassium metabisulfite 75%, E 501(ii) Potassium bicarbonate 25%

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Effergran Dose 5 and Efferbarrique are products consisting of potassium metabisulfite and potassium
bicarbonate granules for sulfiting wine stored in barrels, tonneaux or other small containers.
When added to wine, the granules dissolve, developing an effervescence that promotes spontaneous
and homogeneous diffusion of SO2 onto the surface layer where it is most needed to ensure good
antioxidant protection. Within 5 to 7 days, sulfur dioxide diffuses throughout the entire volume of wine
without the need for bâtonnage or pumping over, thus reducing labor requirements and operator health
risks.

Packaged in pre-dosed sachets allows for easier and more precise dosing of sulfur dioxide.
APPLICATIONS
Sulfur addition to must and wine stored in barrels, tonneaux or other small containers.

DOSAGE
Effergran Dose 5: each sachet releases 5 g of SO 2 .
Efferbarrique: each sachet releases 2 g of SO2 .

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Sprinkle the contents of the sachet directly onto the surface of wine or must. Once in contact with the
liquid, the granules dissolve, developing an effervescence that promotes homogeneous diffusion of SO2
onto the surface layer. Over the following days, the SO2 diffuses throughout the liquid volume without the
need for pumping over or bâtonnage.

PACKAGING AND STORAGE CONDITIONS

Effergran Dose 5: box with 25 sachets
Efferbarrique: box with 40 sachets
Sealed package: store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from light at temperatures between 10-
25°C (50-77°F).
Opened package: carefully reseal and store as indicated above. Once opened, use quickly. Attention:
hygroscopic product.
