Dear Parents of Students at Lunsford and Local South Riding Businesses,

The J. Michael Lunsford (JML) Middle School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is holding its
annual Silent Auction & Raffles Fundraiser on Friday, December 6th, 2019 @ 7-9PM. We are
currently seeking items for our auction & raffles and we are requesting a donation from your
family, business or organization. If you choose to donate, we will advertise your donation e.g.
on our PTA website, Facebook page, and/or Items-for-Auction sheet.

The silent auction is held during the school’s Big Night Out, which is a school-wide function for
JML families which showcases academic projects, musical presentations, and clubs and
activities, plus provides recreational and social opportunities. The event raises funds for the
school to include technology (hardware, software) and other educational resources. This event
is typically attended by 700+ people. The PTA hopes to raise approximately $6,500 from this
event. Proceeds from this event benefit many of the school programs supported by the PTA,
such as PBIS rewards (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports to encourage and reward
positive behavior and to promote positive school environments), laptop computers (to
supplement BYOT – bring your own technology), and STEAM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, Art and Math) activities.

We would appreciate receiving donations by Tuesday, November 26th, 2019. The last possible
date to donate is Wednesday, December 4th, 2019. Donations should be sent to the school at the
address below or you can contact me if you would prefer that we pick them up from you. If you
