Significant of the research

We all know that HIV is among the most dangerous and widespread pandemic disorders

throughout the Philippines, but we also know that they are accusing LGBTQ of having it.

Individuals' racism and discrimination affect LGBTQ people. LGBTQ people should be

cherished and loved. The rights of LGBTQ people should be affirmed and respected. This

research will aid students with a past understanding of sex education, particularly LGBTQ

students, in learning what it is like to be criticized and end homophobia. This study will make it

easier for people to have unsupervised intercourse without fear of contracting HIV, as long as

they are safe and have regular HIV testing.

Parents:

This research will assist parents in getting to know their children. Rather than simply tolerating

them, adore them for their uniqueness and embodiment. We will have tolerance and acceptance,

and the universe will become much better. Some of whom are not yet out. Would be on the loose

and have freedom.

INTRODUCTION

HIV is also one of the world's most hazardous and lethal diseases. Your sexual behavior

causes you to get this disease. According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control and

Prevention), those who discovered HIV human infection came from a form of chimpanzee in

Central Africa. When humanity hunted these chimps for meat and came into contact with their

contaminated blood, society was prone to the chimp variant of the virus named (Human

immunodeficiency virus)

Homophobic’s impact on LGBTQ, People who are homophobic discriminate against Gay

men, telling them that they have HIV and aids. It could affect a person’s mental health and can

cause suicidal-related behavior. Family rejections and discrimination, a family who can’t accept

their son/daughter's identity and sexual orientation is more prone to violence and HIV risk

because they are filled with anger, loss, and rejection and don’t have someone to tell them what

is right or wrong.

Many people nowadays, particularly in the LGBQ community, believe that gay is being

bullied and discriminated against the society. According to the ADAA (American Depression

and Anxiety Association), in the middle of 30 and 60% of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and

transgender people experience depressive episodes at some point in their lives. However, I

believe it is their mindset that they can contract HIV when they have sex with someone of the

same physical intimacy and gender. However, this only occurs when people lack prior

knowledge of sexual education and do not use protection. We all understand that sex is a basic

human necessity. In my opinion, gay males rarely live longer since they lack excitement in their

lives. This is due to societal discrimination.

They are unaware that LGBTQ brings joy and laughter to society, that LGBTQ adopts

heterosexual children but does not take responsibility for them, that homosexuality brings joy

and love to socialize, that LGBTQ creates a rainbow hue, and that LGBTQ gives life meaning.

Statement of the problem

This research paper statistically determines how Filipinos accuse, discriminate, and criticize the

LGBTQ for having HIV/aids.

1. Lack of medical treatment

2. Homophobia

3. Family rejection and discrimination

"Anti-LGBTQ bigotry reinforces the spread of HIV by preventing people in our

community from getting screened or healed through HIV for fear of persecution," according to

the HRC Foundation.

According to a 2014 Kaiser Charitable Organization poll of gay and bisexual men in the

United States, 15% of those polled experienced discrimination because of their sexual

orientation. At least 30percent of ppl said they were reluctant to discuss their sexual proclivities

with a doctor. Homophobia and other forms of anti-LGBTQ discrimination play a role in why so

many young people, particularly gay and bisexual teens who are just discovering their sexuality,

are unaware of their HIV status.

Anti-LGBTQ hatred is one at all peaks, owing to the fact there are so few PLWH inside

the United States. Anti-LGBTQ hatred is at an all high, especially when so few Patients in The

Us appear to be immune. In 2011, there have been 1.2 million HIV-positive persons in the Us.

Only 30% of them will have taken their medication regularly and were able to cut down

HIV in their bodies to dangerous levels. Although undetectable, an infected individual enjoys

good health, and transmitting the virus to partners is practically impossible. Prevention methods

(e.g., condoms, that were formerly preventive) are available for individuals in couples where one

person is not yet undetectable.

"Homophobia, prejudice, and discrimination can be especially tough for young gay

males," according to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Feb,29,2016)

homophobia, prejudice, and discrimination can be especially tough for young homosexual,

bisexual, or other men who have sex with men. These negative sentiments increase their

likelihood of experiencing violence when matched to other students in their schools. Harassment,
mockery, intimidation, violent abuse, & actions associated with suicide are all instances of

violence. Gay & bisexual youth, for example, are more prone to be abandoned by their families,

boosting the increased risk of being homeless. Nearly 40% of homeless teenagers identify as

LGBT. In a study published, gay, lesbian, and bisexual early adulthood who encountered strong

family rejection were compared to their peers who had more accepting families.

According to the findings, persons who were more have the following characteristics:

● "Attempting suicide is eight times more likely;

● six times the likelihood of severe depression;

● three times as likely to use illegal substances;

● and three twice more probable to engage in risky sexual conduct"

According to Michael E. (May,29,2019)Newcomb, Ph.D., Michael C. LaSala, Ph.D., and

David M. Huebner, Ph.D., according to Michael E. Newcomb, Ph.D., Michael C. LaSala,

However, little research has been done on the link between family condemnation and

experiences of abuse and violence, after already being forcibly removed from their homes, or in

affectionate relationships.10,11,13 Youngsters from severely rejecting family members are

commonly forced to leave the residence, likely to result in an increased prevalence of LGBTQ

young teens in the homeless youngsters (14), as well the foster system (33), exposing individuals

to a wide range of dangerous situations. For example, familial rejection Reduces economic and

social support from parents, which tends to promote certain HIV risk habits (such as

conservation sex) amongst younger gay and bisexual males. 34. Parental disapproval also has

been linked to higher despair, suicidal tendencies, and substance abuse among LGBTQ children

and adolescents.
According to new numbers from the UK Health Intelligence Agency for England, the

volume of new HIV diagnoses among straight people has surpassed that of homosexual and

bisexual males for the first time in a decade.

In 2020, heterosexuals accounted for half of all HIV infections in the United Kingdom

(49%) compared to 45 percent for homosexual and bisexual heterosexual men. This comes as

Global Hiv Treatment Week, which begins today, makes HIV testing test kits available. Anyone

who consents to sexual activity should get tested and know their antiretroviral therapy.Despite a

decline in testing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the news underscores the shifting structure of

the national HIV epidemic. The number of HIV tests by sexual and reproductive health services

among straight people was turned down by a third (33%) in 2020, compared to the previous year.

Those who begin HIV treatment are more likely to be virally suppressed and unable to

transmit HIV. We hope that, with greater awareness, increased testing, and better access to PrEP

for heterosexuals, this can be replicated across the wider population. Our message is that HIV

can affect anyone, and everyone needs to know how to protect themselves against HIV –

regardless of sexuality, gender, ethnicity, or age.

Increased HIV testing is crucial because an estimated 5% of people living with HIV in

the UK (4,660) are unaware, which can adversely affect their health and means they may pass

HIV on. The UK is aiming to end new HIV cases by 2030, which is why maximizing every

opportunity for HIV testing is necessary to achieve that aim. You can order a free HIV test kit to

do at home during National HIV Testing Week, or you can visit your local sexual health clinic.
Analysis

This chapter discusses the results of the research obtained data from the survey taken from the

questionnaire filled by the respondents

Verbal interpretation: the chart shows that the majority of the respondents (70%)agree that you

get HIV because of risky sex and bad sexual behavior and (30%) because of gay men having sex

with same sex gender.

Conclusion

A a conclusion there are 10 respondents, that the majority of them agrees that you get HIV from

having risky sex and bad sexual behavior.

Society’s judgment, and discrimination are the fear of LGBTQ and could lead them to

suicidal-related behaviors. However, LGBTQ indeed has one of the highest rates of HIV, but I

don’t believe that they started it. Maybe it’s their fault because of their sexual behaviors. But it’s

not their fault because of their sexuality. The reason why some LGBTQ got the HIV is that Some
people who are in the medical field don’t give the proper treatment to the LGBTQ community,

they tend to discriminate against them, so some LGBTQ people get frightened of getting treated

because they will be judged and criticized, and this explains why the HIV rate is high.

Recommendation

This research revealed that some people accuse LGBTQ of HIV /Aids, and LGBTQ can have

suicidal-related behaviors. the following recommendations are:

1. Using condoms and frequent HIV tests should be mandatory for safe sex and a safe

environment

2. the Philippines should legalize Same-sex marriage in the Philippines for less family rejection

and more acceptance.

3. Parents should teach their children that having a different sexual orientation is acceptable.

4. Parents should tackle sex education. For more safe sex and prior knowledge and this should be

open because this is a serious matter.

Appendices
