Welcome to the Student Leadership Guide Home Companion!

We are excited that you have chosen to continue to develop your child's leadership potential at home. The Student
Leadership Guides will engage your child with timeless and universal leadership principles and skills that will help them
learn to lead themselves, and others.

Each lesson in the Home Companion includes:

1. An introductory paragraph that provides a brief overview of the content in the lesson. Reading this paragraph will
allow you to have more meaningful discussions with your child.
2. If a lesson requires changes to make them appropriate for a home setting, the changes will be found directly under
the introductory paragraph.
3. "Before the lesson" questions set your child up to learn.
4. "After the lesson" questions check your child's understanding of the lesson content.
5. "Optional" activities take the learning deeper and/or expand the learning to include the entire family!

Although the lessons in these guides may appear to be only for the benefit of your child, they are not. The lessons are also
intended for you! When you learn and apply these timeless leadership principles and skills, you will become more
effective as a role model for your child.
