The personal statement must be written by you and reflect your personal view. Share succinctly.

1. Why do you want to run for a leadership position in the Floorball team?

I would like to run for a leadership position in the Floorball team because I feel that I can

contribute to the team using my leadership skills and try to make the floorball team as bonded as

we can be. I feel that as a leader in the floorball team, I would be able to learn from this

experience and grow and develop further as leader as I feel that having a leadership position in

the Floorball team would allow me to challenge myself. Lastly, I feel very strongly to serve but I

would to have a position that would enable me to juggle between my leadership position, my

studies as well as my health thus I would love to run for a leadership position in the Floorball

team.

2. What qualities or traits makes a good leader for the Floorball team?

I feel that a good leader for the Floorball team should be able to communicate effectively as this

would make them a good influence and be able to listen as well as convey messages to the team

effectively and efficiently in a way that everybody would listen and follow them. Another trait

would be adaptability, a good leader for the Floorball team has to be adaptable because in life

not everything goes our way and if that happens a good leader should be able to think fast and

adapt quickly to the new situation to able to face the different circumstances well. Lastly,

accountability. A good leader should be accountable for their actions as they made the decision

1
to step as leader and they need to prove to themselves that they are worth to lead and should

take responsibility for the actions. Lastly, a good leader not only give orders and sit back but a

good leader instead guides the way and inspire others to follow them.

3. What is a leadership attribute that you deem important? Why?

A leadership attribute which I deem important is integrity. I feel that integrity is of utmost importance

because it involves being honest and consistent in one’s actions, communication and decision. If a

leader has the value of integrity, this would inspire their followers to do the same. In addition, integrity

also means owning up to their own mistakes as this would show that you are accountable for your

actions and willing to grow and learn from experiences.
