coming and going all the time, all these things make the staff motivated. They know
that they have to be quick to serve their customers.

·Clear Work Values.

WEAKNESSES
·The system is operated manually.
Just like any other business, when it comes to this particular business, it is
important to consider high-quality products and services, but this type of
consistency is hard to maintain especially if the business performs tasks manually.
Although manual methods are advantageous in some ways, they take a lot of
time and money.

·Difficulty in estimating capital & profit.

In the “It’s Keopi” shop, profit comes in the form of bits and pieces. Therefore,
they must be very vigilant in accounting and math to keep their records in order.

·Challenged in making a name.

Almost every coffee shop provides some unique taste, and that becomes its
reputation. Although the business provides quality service, it is still struggling to
differentiate itself from other sellers.
WEAKNESSES CONT.

·Food kind.
Some of the kind of foods they are selling mostly involve sugars and
sweetener and higher fat foods, this can be a major weakness in their
business as people nowadays are much more health conscious and tend
to choose the healthier options when it comes to meals and snacks.

·Cost Disadvantage.
There’s a very slight margin between the profit and cost, and the
management within the selected business must manage everything in
between. They also heavily rely on the supplies of suppliers since they
have to keep on providing the establishment with the ingredients on
time at a low price.
OPPORTUNITIES
·Rapid growth and expansion of the coffee market.
Through research during the past years, it has been revealed that the market demand for
coffee is very high. Thus, this will show drastic growth and an expansion in the coffee market
in the future as well.

application to provide customers with another choice when ordering items from
the establishment. In which they can provide a home delivery service when
consumers use their smartphone app.
THREATS
·High price sensitivity market.
A coffee house is exposed to rising costs of coffee and dairy products.
Considering that raw materials and necessary items required for coffee and
other goods are getting more expensive due to inflation and other factors that
may affect the prices of certain products, it is always a present risk to the
classification of businesses.

·The margin of profit is slim.

Just like all other coffee shops the margin profits are relatively low compared
to other businesses, and although financial threats can be mitigated with
proper planning and considerations, with the global economic crisis and
international political issues, the profitability of coffee shop businesses across
the world have declined and many small cafés went out of business because
of it.
THREATS CONT.
·Fierce competition.
The coffee shop market is extremely competitive, especially nowadays
considering that almost every corner has a local coffee shop. Others
threaten to copy the business and create a comparable product. There
is also the price competition, where some are offering the same quality
at a lower price. It's possible for rivals to enter the market fast, leaving
the business with no choice but to split profits with them.

·Difficult to maintain cash flow.

According to the interviewee, it’s difficult to maintain the same cash
flow every day in the coffee shop business. It’s because of several
reasons like weekends, holidays, strikes, protests, pandemics, etc. If
customers keep visiting the shop for coffee, it’s good business. But
every day isn’t the same day in this line of work.

AND ALTERNATIVE
COURSES OF
ACTION

about the courses of action to take their businesses to the next level. Because every crisis
can be both a dangerous threat and an unexpected opportunity, businesses, especially
coffee shops nowadays feel indecisive about the strategy to follow due to the immense
competition. Illustrated Below are the possible new objectives and courses of action for the
establishment of It’s Keopi.

·FOCUSING ON COST REDUCTION.

When the financial situation of the organization is in a dire state, reducing the business
complexity, streamlining processes, postponing investments, reducing stock levels, cutting
back on travel and accommodation expenses, and refraining from extensions of temporary
employment contracts can achieve a significant decrease in the costs and increase the
financial capacity of the organization fast. This particular course of action can be very helpful
for the establishment of Its Keopi because one of the main problems this particular franchise
is facing is the expensive costs to maintain quality foods and services in their establishments.
New Objectives and
Alternative Courses Of Action CONT.
·STRENGTHEN THE INTERNAL ORGANIZATION.
Strengthening internal factors like Improving and maximizing the quality of management and
staff, improving the primary and supporting processes, and devoting more attention to
innovation and renewal enhances the internal organization and improves the organization’s
ability to deal with changed circumstances and profit from them are vital factors for
businesses to consider. Especially for businesses with the establishment of Its Keopi.

·EXPLOITING OPPORTUNITIES.
The period in which many competitors are occupied with defensive measures offers an ideal
opportunity to undertake activities that will enhance the organization’s position in the market,
such as launching new products and services, taking over companies, entering partnerships
that enhance core operations, and recruiting excellent staff currently employed by the
competition. This particular alternative course of action can be very advantageous for the
establishment, It’s Keopi, considering the fact that it has a lot of competitors. Exploiting
opportunities is necessary to maintain a competitive advantage against a business’s
competitors.
CONCLUSION:
The group decided that a coffee shop company is performing moderately to good and
they might be able to function successfully to some extent in the turbulent market after
doing this comprehensive swot analysis. This report should give visibility on their current
status, letting them understand and measure their overall business performance. If the
coffee shop owner can be more astute and understands how to maximize even more on
strengths and seize chances, then the business would be fine. Threats, on the other hand,
are real, and they should have a strategy in place to deal with them. The startup coffee
shop should be adapted to deal with the business's dangers and shortcomings. It should
take advantage of the chances given and depend on the company's and their leader’s skills
to help the company achieve long-term success. With this, strategic decision-making is
easier by understanding the competitive advantages & disadvantages of the business, why
some aspects of it are struggling, and the things to improve about in the organization are
determined.
