This Sundays lexionary teaches us to see that God is our
Shepherd. What we can learn about sheeps and sheperds
that we can apply in our everyday life? And what we
lessons of faith we can have so that we will encounter the
fullness of Joy while saying Jesus Christ is my Shepherd,
the guardian of my Soul, I shall not be in want.

Sheep are raised for milk, meat, and wool.
*Sheep are emotionally complex animals. Sheep are
capable of experiencing a wide range of emotions, just as
humans do. Many studies have highlighted the ability for
sheep to feel afraid, angry, bored, sad and happy. Not
only are sheep able to feel basic emotions, but their
feelings can be very complex and include interactions
between emotions and cognition. For example, believe it
or not, scientific studies have shown that sheep can be
pessimists and optimists!
Sheep have rectangular pupils. This gives them a
wider field of vision estimated within 270 to 320
degrees. As prey animals, having rectangular pupils
allow sheep to detect motion better without turning
their heads, so they can immediately flee when they spot
predators.
Sheep have a strong flocking behavior and are less
independent than goats.
 Isolated sheep or those separated from their flock
show signs of depression by hanging their heads low
or avoiding positive actions.
 Sheep have an amazing memory. They can
recognize up to 50 faces of other sheep and
remember them for up to two years. They can also
recognize human faces.
 Sheep can also recognize different facial expressions,
preferring a smile to a frown.
Sheep’s milk is higher in protein, making them a
healthier alternative to cow’s and goat’s milk, especially
for health and fitness enthusiasts.
Sheep that are heavily pregnant, overweight, or have a
heavy fleece have a very hard time righting themselves if
they’ve somehow fallen onto their backs. There’s even a
term for the situation. They’re called cast sheep.

Tulad ng tupa may mga complex emotions, complex
problems, complex na buhay ang bawat status its
complicated sa atin. ngayon ay hinihikayat tayo na
tignan ang Diyos bilang ating pastol at ang Chief
Shepherd natin ay si Jesus Christ.
Bakit naman shepherd? Of all jobs, diba?
Based on the Bible: Hands on ang mga pastol ng tupa,-
binabantayan nila ng araw at gabi ang mga tupa.
-ginagatasan ang mga inahin, ginugupitan ang mga
tumutubong balahibo ng tupa. Prinoprotektahan nila ang
mga tupa mula sa predators sa wild. Lagi nagbabantay
lalo kung may natutumbang mga tupa.
Sa History ng Bibliya kapag ang Diyos ay may malaking
project at gustong isolve ang tinatawag niya ay isang
pastol. Halimbawa si Abraham, ang ama ng ating
pananampalataya, ay isang pastol na sumunod sa tawag
ng ating Panginoon upang pumunta sa bayangg hindi
niya tiyak kung saan, sa pangakong dadami ang kanyang
binhing kasindami ng buhangin sa dagat at stars sa
universe. Noong palayain ang bansang Israel, (Jacob,

Like a sheep we need to learn Total Dependency.
Aasa tayo at magtitiwala na Ang Panginoong Dios ang
magtuturo at magpupuno sa atin ng wisdom and
Knowledge. (James 1:5,6) Ngunit ang sinuman sa inyo na
kilang sa karunungan, huminhi siya sa Diyos at siya’y
bibigyan, sapagkat ang Diyos ay nagbibigay ng sagana at
hindi nanunumbat. Subalit ang humihingi sa Diyos ay
dapat magtiwala sa Diyos at huwag mag- alinlangan,
sapagkat ang nag-aalinlangan ay parang alon sa dagat na
itataboy ng hangin kahit saan.
We depend on God promise that He will be our God who
will give us a heart of flesh not a heart of stone.
We depend on God that every work will be blest.
Like Jesus Christ who is our Chief Shepherd, we have our
own unique calling. We all be teaching, modelling, and
living as co-workers of Christ in shepherding His flocks.
How to answer God’s call: Grow up and be a follower of
Christ. 1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I talk like
a child, I speak like a child and I reason like a child. And
when I grow old I put my childish ways away. Iwanan na
ang pagiging bata sa pananampalataya. Ilang taon
kanang Kristiyano hirap ka parang humanap ng oras
para manalangin, magdibosyon o magmeditate sa salita
ni Lord. Grow. Diskartehan mo na magkaroon ng
personal at idamay o isama mo rin family mo sa paglago
sa faith. Bear the fruit of your faith para may
maishare ka. John 15:8 Napaparangalan ang aking
Ama king kayoy masaganang nagbubunga at sa
gayon kayo’y magiging mga alagad ko.
Ano ang mga bungang iyon: love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-
control. (Gal. 5:22).
May calling ka, ako at tayong lahat bilang individual
at bilang isang iglesiya para hanapin yung mga cast
sheep, nangangailangan sila ng tulong. Lets move. As
soon as possible.be ready.

And lastly, The Lord is my shepherd I shall not be in

want. Laging hanapin si Lord. Know that he will provide
and give all things that will be added unto you. Tutuparin
lagi ni Lord ang pangako Niya, lagi Siyang gagawa ng mga
milagro, hustisya at mga kahangahanga o pwedeng
