Illustrate and discuss the 5 process groups in Project Management Life Cycle

1. Project Initiation - The first phase of Project Management is the Project Initiation. This is where
the project is initiated and everyone is informed about the purpose, objectives, outcomes,
scope, and risks of the project. This stage is where the decision makers were aware of all the
outcomes, and the initial funding of the project is secured. During Initiation, the Project
Manager will also identify the team that will work for it and also secures the sponsors and
stakeholder that funds the project

2. Project Planning - The Planning Phase of Project Management deals with the detailed planning
and setting up of the project structure. The project team and Project team coordinate with each
other to create a plan based on the plan associated with, these stages was organize and need to
work out to make progress.

3. Project execution – the project execution is the stage where we will need to start the actual
work where you need to make sure the flow of the project is smooth and make sure that the
possible problem is prevented to make more error to the project. This also the part you need to
monitor your team to make sure until the end of the project they are doing fine.
4. Project Monitoring and Controlling - Project Monitoring and Controlling is the stage where run
simultaneously with project execution and make sure that they met the expected goal or target.
Also in this stage need to make sure the worker and the project is having a progress and need to
track the cost or expenses the project is using.

5. Project closure – this is the final stage where the project need to be evaluated and make sure
the contract to be followed correctly. In this stage also hold a big part where the whole team
need to hold a meeting because they will reflect from their mistake and correct it properly in the
next project.
