Picture Analysis
 What is Charles Darwin’s Evolution Theory?
 What do you see in the picture? Describe their appearance and expressions.
 What question does this photograph raise in your mind?

1. Darwinism, or Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, is the scientific justification for the variety of
life on Earth. Darwin postulated that natural selection is the mechanism driving evolution and that
all species of creatures are descended from a single common ancestor. According to the theory of
natural selection, those who possess beneficial features are more likely to live, reproduce, and
pass those traits on to their progeny. This process can eventually result in the emergence of new
species. Darwin's hypothesis transformed biology and is still a pillar of contemporary science.

2. The image depicts the evolution of humanity as well as how scientific theories and
understanding alter over time in response to the availability of fresh data and information.

3. As soon as I viewed this image, questions like "How did Charles Darwin come to the conclusion
that we humans descended from this species?" and "Does he really have the complete evidences
of his theory?" sprang to mind.
