✓A growing number of people feel that animals should not be exploited by people and that they
should have the same rights as humans, while others agree that humans must employ animals
to satisfy their various needs including food and research. Discuss both views and give your own
opinion.

✓ The number of old people around the world is increasing dramatically. Do the advantages of the
trend outweigh the disadvantages?

✓More and more people are migrating to cities in search of a better life, but city life can be
extremely difficult. Explain some of the difficulties of living in a city. How can governments make
urban life better for everyone?

✓These days more fathers stay at home and take care of their children while mothers go out to
work. What could be the reasons for this? Do you think it is a positive or a negative
development?
