relating to prohibited work for the child
An employer who personally subjects achild to any of the prohibited forms of
work for the child referred to under Article 6 of this Law, commits an offence.
Upon
conviction, he/she is liable to imprisonment for a term of not less than two (2)
years and not more than five (5) years and a fine of not less than five hundred
thousand Rwandan francs (FRW 500,000) and not more than five million
Rwandan francs (FRW 5,000,000) or one of these penalties. If the perpetrator
of an offence referred to under Paragraph One of this Article is a company,
institution, public or private rganisation and association, it is only
liable to a fine referred to under Paragraph One of this Article which is doubled.

Article 118: Offences and penalties relating to illegal strike or lockout


Without prejudice to provisions of Articles 108 and 109 of this Law, if the
employer is a natural person who does a lockout or if employees go on strike
illegally, they commit an offence. Upon conviction, they are liable to
imprisonment for a term of not less than six (6) months and a fine of not
less than five hundred thousand Rwandan francs (FRW 500,000) and not more
than five million Rwandan francs (FRW 5,000,000) or one of these penalties.
If the perpetrator of an offence referred to under this Article is a company,
institution,
public or private organisation and association, it is only liable to a fine
referred to under Paragraph One of this Article which is doubled.

119: Offences and penalties relating to occupational health and safety If an


employer is a natural person or an employee who, through clumsiness,
carelessness, inattention, negligence, failure to observe the rules or any other
lack of precaution, causes danger commits an offence. If the perpetrator of an
offence referred to under Paragraph One of this Article is convicted, he/she is
liable to imprisonment for a term of not less than six (6) months
and not more than two (2) years and a fine
of not less than five hundred thousand
Rwandan francs (FRW 500,000) and not
more than two million Rwandan francs
(FRW 2,000,000) or one of these penalties.
If the perpetrator of an offence referred to
under Paragraph One of this Article has
caused death and is convicted, he/she is
liable to imprisonment for a term ranging
from two (2) years to five (5) years and a
fine ranging from two million Rwandan
francs (FRW 2,000,000) to five million
Rwandan francs (FRW 5,000,000) or one of
these penalties.
If the perpetrator of an offence referred to
under this Article is a company, institution, public or private organisation and
association, it is only liable to a fine
referred to under this Article which is
doubled.
