    REF: Double Housing Levy Deduction in August
    We hope this memo finds you well. We want to address an important matter regarding the housing levy
    that was recently signed into law by the President and a public notice that was issued on 03.08.2023 by
    the ministry of Lands, Public works, Housing and Urban Development.

    In order to Comply with the authorities' requirements and the announced introduction of a 1.5%
    housing levy, the Employer (THE POTBELLY) will remit July housing levy deduction for all staff which shall
    be recovered from August salary. This means that a total of 3% (1.5% for July and 1.5% for August) will
    be deducted from your August salary. Since the company had already paid July salaries before we
    received notification from the authorities regarding the levy. Moving forward, the housing levy will
    return to its regular 1.5% deduction rate for subsequent months.
