GEEth – Activity 4

1. Mention at least 3 instances in your life where your decisions were driven by your
emotions. Explain how it went through.

 When we are happy and we feel secured with a certain person, it always turns out
that we trust them easily. An instance in my life, where a certain person came and
made me happy and made me feel secured. Who wouldn’t trust a person like that?
However, as days goes by, I’ve learned that that person is doing something behind
my back. That talking was just a short period of time, but it made a big impact in
my life. That life experience changed my gullible personality. That made me
realize a lot of things. Yes, trusting is part of life, but don’t give it easily. Don’t
give it when they are not working for it.

 An event in my life in which me and my mom had a misunderstanding, I was tired

that day and many things are messing up my mind, so, I decided to have rest in
my room, and as time goes by, here comes my mom who scolds me about not
helping on doing household chores when in fact household chores was the reason
why I was tired that day. As a normal tired person, temper is short. I yelled at my
mom and locked myself in my room. As I was reflecting about that happening, I
realized that my mom is probably tired also, that is when guilt crept in my system.
But the damage has been done I cannot take it back anymore. So, as much as
possible I don’t want to get angry because even if I’m not tired, short temper still.

 I was lost for many years, just barely knowing Jesus as the one whom we cast our
prayers to. I did not go to church, I learned bad words, just praying but not
trusting and many more bad habits. But here comes the grace of Jesus, he called
me again despite my sins. He made me feel being loved despite my shortcomings.
That is the love I was looking for. The love he made me feel was the reason why I
decided to follow him. That was the biggest decision and biggest victory in my
life. Truly, love can change a life.
