These issues are hampering our task, is leading to unhappiness in the communities local to the power stations and are creates risks of not having spares available when required. * Suppliers are uploading addresses onto CSD for all areas local to the every power station that result in us approaching suppliers that are not physically living or operating in the area. * The CSD commodity list is not aligned with Eskom commodity lists. This results in the buyer not always approaching the right suppliers or are missing suppliers that are in fact qualified to supply. ‘* Majority of local suppliers are not registered on the Eskom Database causing delays in placing the order and this poses a risk to the Power Station not getting spares. At Pullenshope next to Hendrina Power Station there are +- 38 registered suppliers on CSD but only 4 are registered on the Eskom Vendor Data base, We would like to get approval to register all these suppliers on the Eskom Vendor Master to alleviate this risk. © Suppliers in the feeder areas that are no longer operational do not deregister and this leads to a high number of no quotes and also excludes operational suppliers from participating in the process. * {There is no mechanism to confirm that a supplier is in fact qualified to supply certain items.
