01~ELA + DLIP CHANGES
* Reminders:
*In an effort to provide guidance for teachers, all scope and sequences have highlighted
standards that indicate priority skills for that unit.

* Each Scope and Sequence has one unit that is optional. A teacher may choose to
complete this optional unit to reinforce standards or may choose to use the time to cover
other grade level standards within other units. It is up to the teacher to use that time
frame as needed/desired throughout the year.
01~ELA + DLIP CHANGES
* Teachers will now see an “Integration” column that will call out grade level Science and Social
Studies units. These units can be taught to meet gradel level standards in ELA and in Science
and/or Social Studies.

Though not perfect, the document indicates critical
areas of focus for teachers to accelerate learning in
order to address the unfinished learning that
occurred due to the pandemic.
