Interfaith harmony is respect recognition and tolerance among the

people of different religious beliefs living anywhere in the world. In

recent decade there is immense rise in religious extremism in the
whole world especially against Islam termed as islamophobia. This
spike of religious violence is recently seen as blasphemy of Quran in
Sweden and Finland that is alarming not only for muslims bur also for
minorities living in different countries.
The week of interfaith harmony is observed annually in 1st week of
February annually where all states of the world are invited to spread
the message of interfaith harmony along good will as proposed by
King Abdullah of Jorden in 2010 that will produce nonviolence and
peace loving emotions in general public. Infact every religion of the
world is against violence and extremeism of any kind but due to some
negative minds religious terrorists the world has to face religious
violence.
The Need:
Due to Globalization Recent era is very diversified and to some extent
polarized with different conflicting religious beliefs where respect of
others religious beliefs with tolerance and prudence. Religious
scholars representing different religions should sit together and
discuss about peaceful and amicable relationships among the people
of this world so that clouds of religious terrorism must fall. Every
religion teaches lesson of tolerance and practicing their rituals freely.
There is an immense misconception that Islam is spread through war
and oppression of sword that is totally unfair and wrong because
Islam edify to accept open heartly every person what he is practzing
as a believer of religion other than Islam. Qur’an is univocally states
that:

‫ق ِمن ربِکم ف َمن شاء فليُو ِمن و َمن شاء فَليَکفُر‬

ُ ‫قُل الح‬

“The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills- let him believe; and
whoever wills - let him disbelieve” (18:29).
In another Verse Allah Said:

َ‫هين لِ َِّّل فَِإ ِن ا ْنتَهَوْ ا فَاَل ُع ْد َوانَ ِإاَّل َعلَى الظَّالِ ِمين‬
ُ ‫َوقَاتِلُوهُ ْم َحتَّ ٰى اَل تَ ُكونَ ِف ْتنَةٌ َويَ ُكونَ ال ِد‬

‘And fight them until there is no oppression, and worship becomes

devoted to Allah alone. But if they cease, then let there be no hostility
except against the oppressors’ (2:193).
