The teaching candidate shared "I believe that I had a preconceived notion that the ELL students in the classroom would need the most help but that is not true for all
of them. Some of the ELL students have the highest performances in the classroom. The more distinct I am and the more clarification I can provide when giving
instructions will give students the ability to provide the opportunity for student success. "

The candidate shared that he maintained confidentiality when reviewing assessments. When doing math review games the classroom enforces random names so
that everyone can be included and no one will feel discouraged for being last.

Candidate's goal is to try and learn everyone’s name as quickly as he can so that they know that he hears and sees them. When they know that he cares in this way, it
opens up opportunities for instruction. He shared "I am afforded the opportunity to be a male role model that tends to be missing in the community that I am in. "

The candidate shared "I believe that something I can work on is the way I deliver instructions. My mind tends to want to go in so many directions at once and that
can confuse the students. That is an area that I can get better at. I also could work on my pace and how I deliver instructions as well as when I am waiting for
responses. "

Candidate stated "I believe that one thing that I am learning is the importance of table talk and partner share. Some students may be hesitant in a full class
discussion, but when in a small group or with a partner they have the ability to express things or ask questions they may not in a larger setting. "

they are rewarded with “Bucks” to purchase from the school store. I like rewarding those that take initiative. "
