Adjunct Professor at SPPGA
After spending the second half of my SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship award
studying the politics of institutional change after Free Trade Agreements of
Latin America in the Asia Pacific at UBC, I was recruited to teach at the School
of Public Policy and Global Affairs to teach as Adjunct Professor. Today, I am
part of the teaching faculty leading two core requirements courses, including
public policy analysis and program evaluation and supervising master’s
capstone projects.
• Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada – Expert advisor on Trade and GVCs 2019
Expert Advisor on Trade, and Global Value Chains
Conducted research on trade agreements in the Asia Pacific and created the
line of reports called The Trade Trackers for Canada’s FTAs.
• University of Waterloo – Balsillie School of International Affairs 2016-2017
Postdoctoral fellow
Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship
award. First year. Working with Dr. John Ravenhill designing a research project
on free trade agreements in the Asia Pacific.

• Member of the Carter Center’s Bilateral Group of Dialogue for Ecuador 2008-2009
and Colombia. A high-level group to promote peace talks and mutual
understanding to overcome the impasse. During this time, the Joint
Chiefs of the Colombian Armed Forces gave her a medal for her
contributing to conflict resolution through mediation efforts and mutual
understanding.
