Types of Clouds

Cumulus clouds

- low level, individuals cells,vertical rolls,or towers flat base.

Precipitation: shovers of rain or snow.

Cirrus clouds

- High level,white tufts or filaments:

made up of ice crystal ( No Precipitation).

Stratus clouds

-low level later with a fairy uniform grey or

white colour.
Nimbostratus

- also develop from calmer weather conditions.wind and lightning

do not accompany these clouds.

Cumulonimbus clouds

- is a dense ,towering vertical cloud typically forming from

water vapor.

Altostratus clouds

-Middle level grey sheet,thinner layer allows sun

to appear as through ground glass.

Altocumulus clouds

- May appears as white or gray patches

,Often with come shading or shadow.


Stratos cumulus

- low level layer or mass ,grey ,uniform base :

If ragged ,refered to as "frastostratus"

Cirrostratus clouds

- high level,transparent sheet or veil,halo phenomena: ice crystal

(no Precipitation).

Cirruscumulus clouds

-Is a relatively rare clouds ,forming ripples

which may resemble honey comb.
