Off-road Driving Programme.

Exclusive to “Track & Field”, the off-road driving programme allows

Safety Rating. A comprehensive airbag system, ESP, tyre monitoring technology, and even little details like lashing eyelets in the luggage compartment – the Tiguan has them all. And then some.

Electronic Stability Programme. Airbags. Flat Tyre Indicator. Anti-theft Warning System.

Cutting-edge ESP regulates under- and oversteering
on bends, so the vehicle goes exactly where you
intend it to go. When towing a trailer, trailer
stabilisation keeps you on track, while in the event
of a rollover, intelligent safety systems decide
instantly whether the seat belt tensioners and
curtain airbags should be triggered.
Front, curtain and side airbags provide exceptional
passenger protection. Everything has been
considered: when the airbags are triggered,
the doors unlock, the hazard and interior lighting
switches on and the fuel pump is deactivated.
If there is even a slight decrease in pressure on any
of the four tyres, a warning symbol appears on the
multifunction display, giving you ample time to
correct the pressure (standard on “Track & Field” and
“Sport & Style”).
This system comprises an electronic immobiliser and
backup horn. Optimal anti-theft protection is also
ensured by electronic interior monitoring.

Park Assist and Rear Assist.

The intelligent optional Park Assist system automatically steers you into a parking space, whilst you remain
in control of the clutch, accelerator and brake pedals. Optional Rear Assist makes things even easier using
a video-based parking aid, with an integrated camera in the tail light. Through the multifunction display, the
driver is given an electronically enhanced image with superimposed graphic lines, making parking effortless
in every space.

Electronic Park Brake.

The Electronic Park Brake allows you to park quickly and easily at the touch of a button.
Just pull and hold the button and your Tiguan is securely parked. There is also more space and intelligent
storage solutions between the front seats as the conventional handbrake lever is no longer required.
More ease through innovation.
Coming/Leaving Home ‘Lights On’ Function.

For added convenience, when occupants enter and exit the vehicle, the headlights and tail lights
automatically illuminate the area around the Tiguan, making sure you have a clear view of the surrounding
area. In addition, rear and front fog lights come standard across the range. The High-beam Control Light
Assist package also includes two lights in the front footwell, automatic driving light control, daytime running
lights, High Beam Light Assist, an automatically dimming rear-view mirror, as well as a rain sensor which
adjusts the speed of the windscreen wipers by monitoring the amount of rainfall.

Composition Colour Radio.

Standard across the range, the “Composition Colour” touchscreen display has a 5" colour screen, CD player,
AM/FM radio, MP3 output, eight speakers, volume adjustment according to speed, multimedia Aux-in as well
as Bluetooth, SD card slot and USB interface with iPod/iPhone compatibility.

Composition Media Radio.

Optional across the range, the 6.5" touchscreen radio/CD “Composition Media” system offers state-of-the-art
audio and communications with MP3/WMA compatibility, eight speakers, Bluetooth, SD card slot and USB
interface with iPod/iPhone compatibility.

Fatigue Detection.

The Rest Assist Fatigue Detection System senses fading concentration levels by intelligently measuring your
pedal and steering wheel use. It warns you when a break is needed via an acoustic signal and a visual message
displayed on the instrument cluster.

Discover Media Satellite Navigation System.

Optional across the range, “Discover Media” stands for versatility and ease of use. It boasts a touchscreen
colour display of 6.5", USB port, CD/MP3, SD card, Aux-in and Bluetooth.

Tiguan BlueMotion.
Good news for you and good news for the planet. The Tiguan is
available with BlueMotion Technology, which incorporates a number
of small changes that together make a big difference. There’s no need
to choose between performance and economy – cleaner TSI petrol
engines have a smaller impact on the environment, are kinder to your
pocket, and, best of all, offer outstanding performance. Common
rail diesel injection technology produces cleaner, more refined and
efficient combustion for improved performance and fuel consumption
in TDI diesel engines. Innovations like Stop-Start Technology and
Brake Energy Recuperation deliver a range of cars that are more
fuel-efficient and lower in emissions*, all without compromising on
a truly thrilling driving experience.
* All models are EU5 emissions compliant and have CO2 emissions under 164 grams/km.
The power of four.
4Motion® actively secures vehicles by working in conjunction with
the other operational safety systems to constantly monitor driving
conditions. Upon detection of even the most minimal wheel slip, the
correct amount of power is automatically deployed to the necessary
wheels in a matter of milliseconds. The power is delegated via control
units linked to the car’s dynamic sensors, engine management system
and gearbox. It is Volkswagen’s permanent four-wheel drive system,
distributing the engine power to all four wheels as required.

is out of this world.
Deep in the intrepid heart of the Tiguan is a suite of intelligent
technologies that have been expressly engineered to ensure ultimate
efficiency. The much-awarded, new generation TSI engines deliver
maximum power output with much lower fuel consumption.
Common rail diesel technology makes the TDI engine quieter and more
fuel-efficient, with the added benefit of lower emissions.
A Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG®) allows for fast, seamless gear changes,
lower fuel consumption and added driving comfort.
Tiguan R-Line Package.
Find beauty in the beast with the sculpted athleticism and agile stance of the Tiguan R-Line. The optional R-Line Package (“Sport & Style” models only) comes complete with 18" Mallory alloy wheels, rear bumper diffuser,
front and rear bumper in R-styling, R-Line rear spoiler and sill extensions in chrome R-styling.

Tiguan Avenue Package.

Available on the “Trend & Fun” model only, this package boasts silver anodised roof rails and chrome slats on the grille. The Velour faux suede seats ensure ultimate comfort while the 17” New Orleans alloy wheels
