Epotech 101 HB also works as a prime coat to this substrate. Epotech 101 HB is an excellent epoxy adhesive for use as a sand binder, grouting material to produce ‘an epoxy mortar and as a general purpose adhesive. Epotech 101 HB is satisfactory for use in sewers ‘under dry and wet conditions to bond freshly cast concrete to old concrete. TYPICAL USES: — Epotech 101 HB is recommended for use as bonding agent for new concrete to old conerete and old concrete, wood, metal, etc. It is generally recommended for restoration of concrete structures, especially on deformed and eroded concrete structures. When mixed with sand, Epotech 101 HB is recommended for use as floor surfacers, mortar toppings and grouting under machineries, base plates, anchor bolts, columns, bridge beams, etc. Where non- shrinkage factor and high strength, abrasive, impact resistance is desired. It is also recommended as base foundation for machineries and equipment with continuous vibration where ordinary concrete and cementitious grout cannot achieve. It can be used as welding agent for concrete cracks of less than 1/8" opening, COVERAGE: When use as adhesive for bonding new to old concrete: a) Onsmooth surfaces: ) On rough surfaces 30-40 sq. ft/gal 20-25 sq. ft/gal. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Uttracote 401 HS is ‘an attractive heavy duty, thixotropic epoxy coating primarily intended to provide protection for surfaces exposed to corrosive atmospheric environments that are to receive a lower degree of surface preparation. It is designed to provide a dry film thickness of up to 10 mils per applied coat. Ultracote 401 HS features superior edge covering without sagging, pinholing or muderacking. It is formulated to have outstanding adhesion, toughness, abrasion resistance and excellent curing under adverse conditions of low temperature and high humidity. It is self-priming on most surfaces including damp or tightly rusted and old paint. It may be used as the complete coating system or in combination with other Ultracote primers and finishes. TYPICAL USES: —Ultracote 401 HS is recommended for use on interior and exterior of storage reservoirs and transmission pipelines, food processing facilities, refineries, off-shore drilling platforms, marine service, sewage plants, rail cars, tank trucks, air conditioning equipment, pulp and paper plants, breweries, mining and chemical industries. ‘The principal use of Uliracote 401 HS is in problem areas, which require greater film thickness for reliable protection but are difficult to coat properly. It is also recommended for protection of floors subjected to severe attack and physical abuse. Used where high abrasion and impact resistance in loading areas is required. LIMITATIONS: Not recommended as a lining continuously in contact with strong solvents, acids or bases with PH less than 3.
