Fabric problems mentioned from SKF are major:

1. Shade variation
2. CSV
3. Patta (Machine stoppage marks)
4. Dye spots
5. Coating spots
6. Water mark
7. Weaving defects warp marks (warp grains)

Reasons:

1. Rejected grade greige fabric / Mixed lot fibers/filaments weaved together so dye uptake is
not even
2. Local dye stuff being used
3. Wet fabric packed to increase the weight in 100 mtrs, leaving water marks
4. Weaving defects – machine stoppages, broken yarn
5. PU Coating material problem
6. Lining acrylic coating gumming problem, fabric not dried properly.
7. Poor quality tube rolls

Got fabrics with same construction from Nobeltex and SKF. Will send them for testing for specs
comparisons.

Also got some defect samples which we shall discuss with SKF quality team and Mr. Rajiv as well, we
would have to get 4 point inspection reports either from SKF itself or we’ll have to get our QC to visit
and inspect fabrics for every shipment. Rejected rolls must be taken out and based on prorate basis
we’ll have to get FOC fabric from mill to be shipped at their cost.
