Pile Capacity - ByWG
Pile Capacity - ByWG
1. GENERAL
1.1 Scope
This document presents the Single steel Pile Capacity calculation for the HO CGS Pitless
Project. Type of piles are limited to some pipe diameter only that shall be analysis in this
report. The following pipe diameter shall be analysis :
1.3 Units
Metric Units are used unless noted otherwise
2. ANALYSIS METHOD
Analysis for Single Pile capacities are used analytic methods, which are based on soil
properties obtained from laboratory and in-situ tests ( SPT ).
Pile capacity analysis are calculated based on data from soil investigation report that obtained
SPT that has been prepared by PT Truba Jaya Engineering

Material capacity of steel pipe pile to resist lateral or shear force is evaluated by calculating
maximum shear stress that can be allowed on pile section after considering corrosion.
Assume :
- Soil Modulus is assumed to increase linearly with depth
- Pile top is near from ground surface, e = 0.7
Zf = 1.8 T
where:
T = Stiffness factor
T= EI (Davisson and Robinson)
