Varaždin. Afterwards, he studied comparative literature and art history at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. After the junior year, he enrolled in the Academy of Dramatic Art, Department of Theatre Direction and Broadcasting, graduating in 2006. During his studies, the exam performance of Adam and Eve by Miroslav Krleža was included in the Eurokaz program. In 2005, in Varaždin, he directed his first professional play, People Annihilation, or My Liver is Senseless by W. Schwab, and not long after, the play Three Sisters, at &TD Theatre in Zagreb. During the following years, Harjaček was a guest director at the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka, Contemporary Dance Studio, Dubrava Children's Theatre, Zagreb Youth Theatre, GDK "Gavella", KUFER Theatre, Ludens Theatre and several times at &TD Theatre. A large number of plays are author's projects, plays based on the dramatic texts of contemporary Croatian writers (N. Mitrović, D. Špišić, R. Žulj, T. Štivičić) and plays based on the classics of film art and contemporary prose (Jelinek, Bergman, Buñuel).
