INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY OF THE HUMAN PERSON

I. OBJECTIVE Recognize how the human body imposes limits and possibilities for transcendence. ( PPT11/12-If-
3.1)
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to do the following:
1. Identify traits that distinguish them as a person;
2. Recognize their own limitations and possibilities; and
3. Realize realities of human limitations, uncertainties and possibilities.
II. SUBJECT MATTER

A. Concept/ Ideas Philosophy teaches us to recognize own limitations and possibilities and recognize how
the human body imposes limits and possibilities for transcendence.
B. Materials Laptop, Powerpoint presentation, TV, Module in Introduction to the philosophy of the Human
Person

D. Value Focus The worth of philosophy to recognize how the human body of an individual imposes limits and possibilities
for transcendence.

2. How will you describe how wonderful the world is to a blind person?
3. Now, try this, from the tip of your elbow try to reach your chin. So what
now? What does the exercise tell us? It is difficult? What if you don’t have
a body?

D. Presentation Today we are about to discuss the HUMAN COMPOSITION OF MAN to identify
and recognize how the human body imposes limits and possibilities for
transcendence.
