1 More frequently when operating in a dusty environment.
2 Replacethe elementwhen the pressuredrop exceedsO.8 bar t11.6 psi).
3 Referto the engineoperationmanual.
4 5OOhours is only valid when using PAROIL15W40.
5 Change coolant every 5 years.
6 Use Atlas Copco oil filters, with by-pass valve, as specified in the parts list.
7 Replacethe fuel filters regularly.Gummedor cloggedfilters mean fuel
starvation and reduced engine performance. The quality of the fuel
determinesthe frequencyof renewal.
8 See section 4.6 Oil specifications.
9 The following part numberscan be orderedfrom Atlas Copco to check on
inhibitorsand freezingpoint:
t 2913 0028 O0 refractometer
t 2913 0029 00 pH meter.
1OSee section 5.3 Safety valve.
1 1 See section 3:3 Before starting.
12The engine inlet and outlet valves need to be adjusted every 3OOOhours.
13 Replaceall rubberflexibleseach 6 years, accordingto DIN 20066.
Keep the bolts of the housing, the lifting beam, towbar and axles securely
tightened. For torque values see section 8 Technical specifications.

It is strongly recommendedto use Atlas Copco branded lubrication oils for both
compressorand engine.
High-quality, mineral, hydraulic or synthesizedhydrocarbon oil with rust and oxidation inhibitors,
anti-foam and anti-wear properties is recommended.
The viscosity grade should correspondto the ambient temperature and ISO 3448, as follows:
I Remark:
When changingfrom mineralto syntheticoil (or the other way around),you will
need to do an extra rinse:
After doing the complete change procedure to synthetic oil, run the unit for a
few minutes to allow good and complete circulation of the synthetic oil.
Then drain the synthetic oil again and fill again with new synthetic oil. To set
correct oil levels, proceed as in normal instruction.

PAROILfrom Atlas Copco is the ONLY oil tested and approvedfor use in all enginesbuilt into Atlas
Copco compressorsand generators.
Extensive laboratory and field endurancetests on Atlas Copco equipment have proven PAROILto
match all lubricationdemandsin varied conditions.lt meets stringentquality control specifications
to ensureyour equipmentwill run smoothly and reliably.
The quality lubricantadditivesin PAROILallow for extendedoil changeintervalswithout any loss in
performanceor longevity.
PAROILprovides wear protection under extreme conditions. Powerful oxidation resistance, high
chemical stability and rust- inhibiting additives hefp reduce corrosion, even within engines left idle
for extended periods.
PAROILcontains high quality anti-oxidantsto control deposits, sludge and contaminants that tend
to build up under very high temperatures.
PAROIL'sdetergentadditiveskeep sludgeforming particlesin a fine suspensioninsteadof allowing
them to clog your filter and accumulatein the valve/rockercover area.
PAROILreleasesexcess heat efficiently, whilst maintaining excelfent bore-polishprotection to limit
oil consumption.
PAROILhas an excellent Total Base Number (TBN) retention and more alkalinity to control acid
formation.

4 Clean the filter seat on the manifold, taking care that no dirt drops into the
system. Oil the gasket of the new filter element.Screw it into place until the
gasket contacts its seat, then tighten one half turn only.
5 Fill the air receiveruntil the pointerof the oil level gauge is in the upper part of
the green area. Be sure that no dirt gets into the system. Reinstalland tighten
