3.0 WORK INSTRUCTION

3.1 Scope
This work instruction covers the installation of PC and peripheral devices.

3.2 Install PC

1 Upon received new hardware purchased, unpack the boxes and HOU(PSU)
make sure all hardware: PSUS
a. Appearance in good conditions
b. Quantity ordered is same with received
c. Specification ordered is same with received
d. Function well

2 Next, set up the PC at required workplace requested by CLT and HOU(PSU)

plug in all cables into their respective slots. Then, switch ON the PSUS
PC.

3 Next, configure windows and install Microsoft Office. HOU(PSU)

4 Then, proceed with installation of antivirus. HOU(PSU)

5 Next, assign IP (internet protocol) address based on Ikram’s IP HOU(PSU)

3.2 Install Peripheral devices

1 Upon receive CLT request to install peripheral devices, HOU(PSU)
HOU(PSU) will proceed to purchase finger print reader device
and magnetic access door
Please refer to ADM-F-850-002 Purchasing procedure.
2 Upon received new hardware purchased, unpack the boxes and HOU(PSU)
make sure all hardware: PSUS

Hardware for Fingerprint Reader installation:
 Fingerprint Reader
 Power Supply Unit
 Network Cable
 4 Core Cable

3 Next, install reader at location requested by CLT. HOU(PSU)

Mark the location for Power Supply Unit and Fingerprint PSUS
Reader. Drill holes for cable route, then drill holes for screw,
insert wall plug and fix the devices bracket in place.

4 Measure the length for the 4 core cable from power supply unit HOU(PSU)
to fingerprint reader location. Network cable length is measured PSUS
from the reader to the nearest network switch. Next, insert the 4
core cable and network cable through the hole drilled earlier.
Connect the 4 core cable with socket connector provided and
tape it. Connect network cable to connector provided.

5 Fix all connector to slots provided at the back of the reader, fix it HOU(PSU)
to the bracket then screw the reader tight. PSUS

6 Next, assign designated IP (internet protocol) address based on HOU(PSU)

Ikram’s IP range to enable the reader to be access and control PSUS
from the fingerprint reader server

7 Process complete. Handover invoice and Delivery Order (DO) to HOU(PSU) 1 hour
