Climate Change Act of 2009

I. INTRODUCTION
The Climate Change Act of 2009 was approved on October
23, 2009. Its ultimate objective which is the stabilization of
greenhouse gas in the atmosphere within a sufficient time frame
to allow ecosystems to adapt, food production is not threatened
ant to enable economic development.

II. SUMMARIZATION
 Protecting the Climate System for the benefit of all
humankind.
 Recognizing the damaging effects of Climate Change to the
Philippines and its people.
 Integrate risk reduction into Climate Change Programs.
 Assigning several government agencies to roles (Ex: DepEd
is to integrate climate change to science).
 Creation of the Climate Change Commission to coordinate,
monitor and evaluate actions against Climate Change.

III. ANALYZATION

 Recognize that Climate Change is a REAL ISSUE and be


aware of its dangers.
 Support and Trust government agencies that manage and
prevent Climate Change.
 Follow the advice of government or scientists (Ex: Don’t
burn plastics.)
 Vote for responsible leaders that will continue the Climate
Change Commission.
 Educate yourself even more about these issues so that you
can contribute bigger in solving Climate Change.
