1) If the cost of 1 kg sugar is Rs 33, what will be the cost of 5 kg sugar?
Sol: Cost of 1 kg sugar = Rs 33
Cost of 5 kg sugar = Rs 33 X 5 = Rs 165

2) Insert comma and write the number name of the numbers in the Indian place value system
a) 42,63,275 = Forty-two lakh sixty-three thousand two hundred seventy-five.
b) 83,74,164 = Eighty-three lakh seventy-four thousand one hundred sixty-four.

3) Rohan bought 6 kg mangoes Rs 480. What is the cost of 1 kg mangoes?


Sol: Cost of 6 kg mangoes = Rs 480
The cost of 1 kg mangoes = Rs 480 ÷ 6 = Rs 80.

8) If the cost of 40 L of milk is Rs 2000, then find the cost of milk per litre.
Sol: Cost of 40 L of milk = Rs 2000
Cost of 1 L milk = Rs 2000 ÷ 40 = Rs 50
