• All five focus countries except the U.K. saw a rise in demand for talent in the Finance and Accounting function in Q3 2022 compared to Q2
2022, with India reporting double-digit growth in talent demand. U.K. saw a marginal decline of 0.25% in talent demand in Q3 2022
compared to Q2 2022.

• Testing is the top skill by demand volume in U.K. and India. HR leaders should prepare for increased competition for talent with this skill,
given the rise in demand, and develop internal talent to be proficient in the skill in the medium term.

• Knowledge of Databases is the top skill by demand volume and demand growth across multiple industries in Canada. HR leaders
should closely review the skill with high talent demand volume that is also the fastest growing. They should invest in retaining talent with this
skill and find a competitive edge to attract them.

• Management Analysts, Accountants and Auditors, and Financial Managers are top occupations by demand volume across multiple
industries in all five focus countries. HR leaders should prepare for increased competition when hiring such talent and differentiate their EVP
across industry players to attract such candidates.

• Securities, Commodities and Financial Service Agents in the USA and Canada and Financial Managers in U.K. and India are top
occupations by demand volume. HR leaders should review their hiring plans to prepare for increased competition given the rise in
demand.

• There was nearly an 8% increase in talent demand in the Finance and Accounting function in the USA in Q3 2022 compared to Q2 2022.

• SQL is a new top skill (among the top five skills for the first time in the past twelve months) by demand volume in the BFSI and
Pharmaceutical industries. HR leaders should look to upskill existing employees to build a talent pipeline who can take up roles requiring the
skill in the medium-term as they are likely to face high competition in attracting such talent.

• Risk Assessment is among the top five skills by demand volume and demand growth in the BFSI industry. There has also been an
increase in the demand volume and growth rate for the skill in Q3 2022 compared to Q2 2022. HR leaders should closely review the skill with
high talent demand volume which is also among the fastest growing. They should invest in retaining talent with this skill and find a

• There was a marginal decrease of 0.25% in talent demand in the Finance and Accounting function in U.K. in Q3 2022 compared to Q2
2022.

• Risk Assessment is among the top five skills by demand and demand growth in the BFSI industry. However, there has been a decrease
in the rate of demand growth for the skill compared to the previous quarter. HR leaders should review their workforce plans to consider
ramping up hiring due to a relative slowdown in demand growth for this skill in this industry.

• SQL is among the top five skills by demand volume in the BFSI, IT and Retail industries. However, the demand volume for the skill has
decreased in comparison to the previous quarter in the IT and Retail industries. HR leaders hiring for this skill can consider hiring talent from
these industries given the decrease in demand.

• Power BI is a new top skill (among the top five skills for the first time in the past twelve months) by demand volume in the IT and
Manufacturing industries. The demand for the skill has increased in both industries since Q2 2022. HR leaders should prepare for increased
competition when hiring talent with this skill, given the rise in demand and consider hiring for adjacent skills to close skill gaps, as acquiring

Methodology

Skills and occupations in this report are analyzed based on open job postings. The top skills and occupations for each of
the five countries (USA, Canada, U.K., Germany and India) are identified by filtering them across two parameters- functions
and industries, by demand volume and demand growth.

• Demand Volume: Total number of open job postings with requirement for the skill or for an occupation for the given time
period. To control for variation in skill and occupation demand volume, we use the average job posting levels in the trailing
six months as the monthly job posting volume.

• Demand Growth: Quarter-over-quarter percent increase in job postings with requirement for the skill or in job postings for
the occupation. Demand growth is calculated based on the averaged demand volume. Quarterly change in this report
refers to change compared to the previous quarter.
