Based on the document from FHWA (uploaded to webcourses) and following your own engineering judgement
organize the retaining walls (17 in total) as follows:

1. Briefly summarize the description of each type of wall (hopefully in no more than a sentence, be very
precise!)

2. Organize by approximate unit cost range (from the cheapest to the most expensive one)

3. From the viewpoint of the space requirement for its construction, which is very critical when the right-of-
way is an issue, organize from the smallest to the largest retaining wall in terms of space.

4. Based on the document and your engineering judgement, organize/classify them by the alternative with
the most disadvantages to the least number of disadvantages. Briefly explain your reasoning.

5. Based on the document information, organize the retaining walls in descending order of potential height
(i.e., starting from the tallest).

6. Organize the retaining wall options from the most suitable to least suitable for temporary applications.

7. Organize them from the most to least impervious solution. This is important when high water table is an
issue (like in most Florida soil conditions).

Note: You can provide your answer in a large table where you classify/order/group the retaining structures based
on the above categories.
