INTRODUCTION

The introduction should be a fully developed essay organized into 4-5 paragraphs.
The introduction to your portfolio is a great way to tell your readers who you are
and Briefly explain what you’ll be talking about. If you’re using your portfolio to
attract customers, it’s important to give a few examples of professional
accomplishments and make your introduction stand out by adding a couple of
personal details. If you’re writing an educational portfolio, summarize your main
talking points and explain what makes you stand out. Don’t forget to edit your
introduction once you’re finished so it looks professional.

Experience is important as education. It is significant for one to apply in the

real world what he/she has learned inside the classroom. Preparing a person to take
an actual job is something you could not just limit within a school. Besides being
oriented by their teachers for the things that could occur in a workplace, students
should be given the chance to be a part of that environment before actually taking
on these jobs full-time.

Work Immersion is one of the course requirements for graduation. Through

work immersion the students are exposed to and become familiar with work-related
environment related to their field of specialization to enhance their competence.
“Work immersion is a key feature in the Senior High School Curriculum. It can be
conducted in different ways of depending on the purposes and needs of the learner”,
Education Secretary Leonor Briones said.
The guidelines said work immersion can range from 80 hours to 320 hours
will enable students to become familiar with the workplace simulation and apply
their competence in areas of specialization.

Due to pandemic our school decided to make a home-based immersion. In

view of this, the students home-based immersion portfolio is a compilation of
written works and activities. It contains documents which will provide tangible
evidences of the wide range of knowledge and skills we possess.

ACTIVITY 1

Work is on your way. Are you prepared to work? Do you have potential, character,
talents, and skills to take up the vigor of being a worker? What should you possess
to become a good worker? How will you prepare for work immersion?

Everyone claims that high school is the most enjoyable part of being a
student. It is a learning experience that combines struggle with enjoyment. Not until
the Department of Education approved the addition of a grade for the completion of
Senior High School studies. I agree that adding this extra grade taught me a lot and
prepared me for the difficult and challenging years ahead. Since I began my Senior
High School journey, my knowledge of the so-called Immersion has been sufficient
for me to be prepared for this type of task.

I have definitely prepared myself physically, mentally, and spirituality.

Aside from that, the potential, characters, talents, and skills have already been
organized. Working with various students, teachers, co-immersionist and, of course,
highly qualified professionals is a difficult task. I had already prepared myself with
possible items an a pile of stuffs. However, being prepared is not enough for the part
of attending an immersion, but it does play a role in defining who I want to be in the
future. One of the most important thing to do is to become a good worker is to have
a grit. Grit is a motivator for me to strive and be dedicated to the task at hand to
me. Aside from that, I must put my heart into it because it will usher me into
progress phase, and the passion is there. When one works, one will face various
challenges, including negativity, barriers and misunderstanding. As a result, having
the passionate skills will prompt me to evaluate things so that they can be ordered.
But I’ll do my best to avoid myself with this type of subject. Finally I prepared
myself by researching how an immersionist should behave in general on the
internet. I also need to look up some background information on the professional to
whom I have been assigned. The background culture and norms of the organization
where I will be working, so that I will not consider how they conduct themselves and
how they respect differences.

Henceforth, I believe that when I attend an immersion, I am not only

conveying myself, but also the dignity of the institution where I am. As a result,
working with the qualities and bringing along a discipline is essential as much as
possible. So that at the end of the day, the purpose of a work immersion is satisfying
and memorable.
ACTIVITY 2 – Conflict Resolution

Did you ever experience disagreement and conflict with your

classmates/friends? How did you handle the situation? How would you rate your
skills in handling differences of opinion? Please give an example that illustrate that
skills.

Conflict is an expected part of any healthy relationship. After all, two people
cannot be expected to agree on everything all the time. The key is not to avoid
conflict, but to learn how to resolve it in a healthy manner. When conflict is handled
in a respectful, positive manner, it provides an opportunity to strengthen the bond
between two people. Conflict arises from differences, both large and small, and
occurs whenever people disagree over values, motivations, perceptions, ideas, or
desires. Sometimes the differences appear trivial, but when a conflict triggers strong
feelings, a deep personal used is open at the core of the problem. These needs range
from the need to feel safe and secure to the need to be respected and valued, to the
desire for deeper connection and closeness.
As a student, I never had any disagreements with my classmates/friends.
Fortunately, we usually get along well in our group because we always have the
same ideas and are on the same “wavelength” of attitudes. If there is a
disagreement, it is so minor that we can resolve it in a matter of minutes. I get along
well with my classmates/friends. To get along with them, I treat them with respect,
kindness, tolerance, and love. Yes, we are all unique individuals with unique
perspectives, but only if we treat each other with kindness, tolerance, and love. I
don’t think I will have any disagreements. They are cruel to me at times like these,
to the point that they will stay harmful words against me, and I left badly and hurt.
I only believe they are entitled to their own opinions, so I would prefer to avoid
them.

If I had to rate my ability to handle differences of opinion, I’d give it a 10

out of 10. I can handle it well, but not if it goes against my beliefs. I disagreed with
them, but in the appropriate way. For example, we are discussing various problems
about which we have opposing viewpoints. I normally offer my opinions, even if they
contradict with theirs, but I will not raise my voice to promote my own. As much as
possible, I will not tolerate conflicts and disagreements simply because of a
particular circumstance.
ACTIVITY 3 – Situation Analysis

CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE WORKPLACE

For ABM, supposed you work at a bank and sign a confidentiality agreement
regarding their clients at hand, but a friend of yours asked you to disclose the
account of X and it’s deposit so she can demand and collect from X what is owed to
her. How will you handle the situation? Will you disclose X’s account? Why?

Confidentiality in the workplace is essential for establishing and maintaining

trust, as well as ensuring open and honest communication between customers,
clients, and employees. Workplace confidentiality can be defined as keeping the
information of employees, clients, and customers private. Typically, organizations
take a number of steps to ensure that client information is kept private, but when it
comes to employee information, they may not be as concerned. However on by
understanding this thought process and its significance can they expect their staff to
treat their clients and customers.
Being willing to work and passionate about your work entails having a
fighting spirit in your work. It will make a significant exchange regardless of how or
where you look at it. Regarding the preceding situation, it’s as if I’m in the midst of
colliding stones. Professionally, I shouldn’t reveal X’s account and it’s deposit so
that my friend can demand and collect what is owed to her from X. Personally, as a
close friend, I would have wanted to assist her . As a result, I feel like I’m in the
midst of colliding stones. But I have to make the difficult decision of not assisting my
friend in having the accounts disclosed. I can assist her in other ways, but not by
disclosing X’s account simply for her or benefit. My job is my job, which could be
someone’s dream . So I want to do my job effectively and honestly. My boss and co-
workers have placed their trust in me, so I must perform admirably. Trust can be
earned, so I don’t want to waste their trust in me. Even if my boss is aware that I
will assist a friend, but I believe that my God is watching over me, I am still guilty in
the eyes of my cheater.

 This is what most people fail to handle. When I am given a task, I always

this, it will motivate them to learn.

General
