Application to permitting the use of fire safety equipment imported into the country

Guidelines

Introduction;

This guideline is to ensure that fire safety equipment imported into Dhvehirahje meets international standards

and is safe,The guidelines to be followed by the Ministry of Defense in granting permission for such items.

After approval of the specification of the fire protection devices before they are commissioned, The equipment

in the approved specification shall also be submitted to the Ministry of Defense for approval before

commencement of use.

The purpose

safe and manufactured in accordance with international standards.

1. Approve specification of fire safety equipment.

The specification of the equipment/s requesting permission shall be submitted to the Ministry of

Defence. The following documents shall be submitted to the Ministry of Defense for approval of the

specification.

 -Original Specification for Fire Safety Equipment. The proposed specification states the following

things should be included. o

Equipment name and photo.

o Equipment certified to international standards and relevant certificates.

o Equipment details;
- Name of equipment manufacturer and country of manufacture of

- equipment. Equipment Material and Model Number.

- How the equipment works and how to use it. Conditions

- under which equipment can be used.

- Effective range of equipment.

- If a fire extinguisher, the fire extinguisher

- working classes. Equipment shelf life and Duration.

2. Approval of fire safety equipment.
