PIE CHART

The pie charts compare the population in two different countries, Yemen and Italy by age groups
between 2000 and 2050.

It is obvious that the working-age population in both countries accounted for the largest proportion,
while children and young adolescents was the small scale in Yemen, the opposite was true for this
proportion in Italy.

As can be seen that the people who was under 15 years old was the highest in Yemen in 2000, at 50.1%.
Whereas, in Italy the proportion for this group was the smallest, just about 14.3%. The working-age
population in both countries accounted was high, 46.3% in Yemen and 61.6% in Italy. In Yemen, the
scales of spending on the elderly was very small just 3.6%, while Italy was a quarter.

From the year 2001 onward, the figures for the group under 15 years old will decrease by approximately
13%, while Italy fall by 2%. The proportion of the working-age will increase 10%, whereas in Italy the
figure for this group will slightly decrease of about 61.6% to 46.2%, the elderly is the lowest scale, in
contrast, this figure in Italy will decrease from 24.1% in 2000 to around a fifth in 2050.
