CS-2 V1.21R00 or later

CS-3 V2.32R00 or later

1.4.2 Default Value of Host In TCP/IP networks, all devices connected to the network need an
individual host name (PC name) and IP address. The network IP
Name & IP Address
address and host name must be unique.
In the factory default, IP address and host name of REGIUS 110 are
fixed. The CS-1/2/3 and REGIUS 110 are set to the manual registration
method by default.
Remains the factory default in 1-on-1 connection unless otherwise
instructed by your site.
The following is the factory default status:

REGIUS 110
•Host name r170-0001
•IP address 192.168.20.170
•Net mask 255.255.255.0

<Important>"r170-0001" has been registered with the host name

of the REGIUS 110 at the factory, allowing the REGIUS
110 to be connected to the CS-1/2/3 as default. The same
is applied to REGIUS 170/190.

<Important>When networking REGIUS 110, make sure that a cor-

rect selection is made among REGIUS 110 and REGIUS
170/190 through [System Info] -> [System Config
(reader)] before implementing the settings using Service
Tool. Setting made with incorrect reader selection may
lead to abnormality of reader function.

1.4.3 Setting the Host Name To change the host name (PC name) of the REGIUS 110, set it using
the following rules.
<Important>The host name is case sensitive. Pay attention when
setting the host name.Input lower 5 digits of REGIUS
110's serial No. after "r110-".
Example : When REGIUS 110's serial No. is "00456", the
Host Name of that cassette reader should be;
r110-00456

2.2 Setting Up the 1-to-1 Connection

2.2 Setting Up the 1-to-1 This section describes how to connect a single CS-1/2/3 to a single
REGIUS 110 using a 1-to-1 connection.
Connection
Small-sized networks such as connecting a single CS-1/2/3, REGIUS
110 and KonicaMinolta printer can be created without changing the
factory default settings. When a factory default CS-1/2/3 is connected
to a REGIUS 110, the manual registration method is used.
However, for the case described below, change the setting of CS-1/2/3
and REGIUS 110 according to the procedure described in this section.
• When it is necessary to change the address because the system is
connected to the site's existing network.
• To connect several 1-to-1 connection units to the same network.

The explanation in this section is based on the settings instructed by

the institute as following.

Printer
Viewer, Server

Ethernet

HUB

CS-1/2/3
Serial No. 0025 REGIUS 110
Host Name CS2-0025 Serial No. 0100
IP Address 128.100.50.1 Host Name r170-0100
Subnet Mask 255.255.0.0 IP Address 128.100.50.11
Cassette Regist. Auto-Regist. Subnet Mask 255.255.0.0

<Important>It is possible to configure a 1-to-1 connection system

to use barcode registration; however, as a rule, you
should use the manual registration or auto-registration
method. It is necessary to arrange a barcode reader
when barcode registration is selected.

2-4
2.2 Setting Up the 1-to-1 Connection

2.2.1 Setting Up the

REGIUS 110

Temporary Connection of CS-1/2/3 To connect a CS-1/2/3 to a REGIUS 110 via Ethernet, the devices have
and REGIUS 110 been configured so that they can communicate using the factory
default. The set up of the REGIUS 110 below shall be made by
temporary connecting the CS-1/2/3 in a 1-to-1 configuration.

1. Plug the REGIUS 110 into a wall outlet.

2. Using a cross cable or hub, connect the CS-1/2/3 and REGIUS 110 in
a 1-to-1 configuration.

<Important>This configuration is a temporary case purely for the

purposes of configuring the REGIUS 110. Do not connect
several REGIUS 110s to the hub at the same time. Doing
so prevents correct recognition of each device due to
the fact that all REGIUS 110s are preset with the same IP
address, and in consequence it becomes impossible to
set up the device.

Temporary Connected Hub REGIUS 110

or

Cross Cable

<Important>If the CS-1/2/3 or JM settings are changed before set-

ting up the REGIUS 110, the REGIUS 110 cannot be set
up because communication with the REGIUS 110 is dis-
abled. If this happens, reset the CS-1/2/3 to the factory
defaults and try again.

REGIUS 110

Temporarily connecting the CS-1/2/ To enable the CS-1/2/3 to implement the set up of REGIUS 110 via
3 and REGIUS 110 Ethernet, both have been set up at the factory so that they can
communicate using the factory setting. The set up of REGIUS 110 in
the below shall be made by temporarily connecting the CS-1/2/3 in the
"1-to-1" configuration.

1. Plug the REGIUS 110 into a wall outlet.

2. Connect the CS-1/2/3 and REGIUS 110 in 1-to-1 using cross cable or hub.
<Important>This connection is a temporary case purely for the
purpose of setting the REGIUS 110. Do not connect sev-
eral units of REGIUS 110 to hub at the same time. Doing
so hinders recognition of each device due to the fact that
all of REGIUS 110 are preset at the same IP address and
in consequence it becomes impossible to set up.
