2023  Tosio  Kato  Fellowship  for  Young  Southeast  Asian  Researcher  
Call  for  Applications

The  Mathematical  Society  of  Japan  (MSJ)  is  calling  for  applications  to  the  2023  Tosio  Kato  
Fellowship.   The   goal   of   the   Tosio   Kato   fellowship   is   to   reward   an   excellent   young  
mathematician   from   Southeast   Asia,   who   is   expected   to   become   a   driving   force   for  
mathematics   in   the   region,   through   a   one-­‐year   research   stay   at   a   Japanese   University   or  
Institute  from  01  April  2023  to  31  March  2024.  
 
The   budget   for   the   scholarship   is   provided   by   the   Tosio   Kato   Foundation  
of   the   Mathematical   Society   of   Japan   funded   by   the   bequest   of   late  
Professor  Kato.  MSJ  is  implementing  the  fellowship  with  the  cooperation  
of  the  SEAMS.
