Listening Test Part 1.

1.
B: So where do you work now? Megan?
G: I'm working at a new cafe downtown.
B: Hey, that's kind of interesting. Are you the manager or something?
G: Oh, yeah, right. Actually, I do all the baking.
B: Oh, how long have you been baking?
G: Well, only for three weeks. But I'm learning real fast.

2.
G: Where do you work, Tim?
B: At a hotel? I'm with the grand city towers.
G: Oh, yeah. Do you like it?
B: It's pretty good. I get to meet some really interesting people.
G: Oh, Are you the manager?
B: Well, not yet. I'm still carrying bags, but I'm sure I'll be manager before long.

3.
G: Has your new roommate moved in yet?
B: Yes. Last week.
G: Is he okay?
B: Oh, yeah, I am so glad my old roommate left. He was always in a bad mood
about things. My new one is so friendly and always happy. We get along really
well.
4.
B: Oh, it looks like we got here too late. The computer lab is closed.
G: Oh, no. And I'm working on a very complicated web programme.
B: Yeah, we have a lot of homework for that class, don't we?
G: Yeah, it's tough, but I love programming. Don't you?
B: No, it's hard for me. This isn't my favourite class. I prefer sciences like biology
or chemistry.
G: Well, let me know if you need any help with your programmes.
B: Thanks. That's really nice.

5.
G: What do you think of Professor Green?
B: He's so boring. I'm not crazy about this class. What about you?
G: Yes, Professor Green is a little boring. But the subject is so interesting. I love
learning about the past. I'm particularly interested in the 20th century.
B: There's a lot of reading though, isn't there?
G: True. And the books are so heavy.
B: They're not as heavy as those art books, though.
G: No, you're right about that.
