Stream alerts setup guide - Utopia

♡ This guide is here to help you easily set up every asset in this package, even if you are a
beginner with streaming and have never opened OBS or Streamlabs before.

♡ This package is compatible with both Streamlabs and OBS.

♡ We will be using Stream Elements to set up the alerts, so make sure to create an account
if you don’t have one before starting.

♡ This guide is very detailed and will make your stream look exactly like in the previews, feel
free to skip whatever steps you want or to digress and use the assets in this package as you
see fit

Alerts

⟣ Go to streamelements.com and log in with your Twitch account, then go to your


dashboard
⟣ On the left side of you dashboard, under Streaming Tools, click on My overlays
⟣ Click on New Overlay
⟣ Set the Overlay resolution to 1080p when started, then click Start
⟣ You can give your overlay a name in the top left side

⟣ Click on the blue + icon (this one ), then under Alerts, click on AlertBox
⟣ On the left side, you can activate/deactivate the alerts that you want/don’t want to appear
on your stream
⟣ Under Position, size and style, set the width 1920 and the height to 1080, then click on
Center widget
⟣ Go back to the Settings menu and click on the cog wheel next to “Follower Alert”
⟣ Click on Change Video
⟣ Click Upload, then choose your Follower alert WEBM file or drag it inside the window
⟣ Hover over the alert thumbnail and click on Submit
⟣ Here are the base settings :

Text Settings - Text


⟣ Layout - text over image (first option)
⟣ Alert duration - 8 seconds
⟣ Font - Nunito Sans
⟣ Color - #000000
⟣ Size - 20
⟣ Font weight - bold
⟣ Text shadow - disabled
⟣ Highlight - none

Text Settings - Advanced


⟣ Margin Top - 525

Animation Settings
⟣ (Text) Enter animation - fade in
⟣ (Text) Exit animation - fade out
⟣ Text appearance delay - 2.5s
⟣ Text disappearance offset - 2.7s

Feel free to adjust the settings to your liking, these are just my recommendations for an easy
set up.

⟣ Click on the Save button in the top right corner, then click on the link icon to
generate a link to your overlay
⟣ Click on Emulate, then make sure to check Preview LIVE on stream

⊹ In Streamlabs

⟣ Click on the + to create a new source


⟣ Select Browser source
⟣ In the Settings for Browser source, next to URL, paste the URL you just copied from
Stream Elements
⟣ Set the width to 1920 and height to 1080
⟣ Right click on the alert layer then select Transform -> Fit to screen
⟣ You can now test the alert by clicking on Emulate - > Follower event in Stream Elements
⟣ Place the alert where you want

⊹ In OBS

⟣ Click on the + to create a new source


⟣ Select Browser source
⟣ Paste the link you just copied from Stream Elements in the URL bar
⟣ Set the width to 1920 and height to 1080
⟣ Click on OK
⟣ You can now test the alert by clicking on Emulate - > Follower event in Stream Elements
⟣ Place the alert where you want

⊹ For both OBS and Streamlabs

Repeat the process for every alert, starting from the green star step ⟣. As in, you do not
need to create a new overlay for each alert, simply click on the cog wheel next to each alert
type in your already existing overlay- to edit it. You also do not need to export the link each
time you edit it, simply save the overlay in Stream Elements by clicking on the Save button,
and the changes will automatically appear in your OBS/Streamlabs.

To edit the sound of the alert, here are the settings you need to adjust in Stream Elements :
