Prayer

-Good morning to all of you my dear Grade 10 students. Before we start everyone would like to have everyone stand for a prayer.

(PRAYER) Amen.

-Thank you very much! Everyone can sit down.

-Good morning, once again! This is Teacher John Ray Cadano, your teacher for today, helping you unlock another lesson for today.

Now before we start our new lesson today, we would like to take a look back at the past.

-Let's go back to what we discussed yesterday.

-Anyone, what is our lesson yesterday? Okay, Maria!

-Our lesson last meeting is all about Gender and Sex.

-Based on what we discussed in the previous lesson, what is the difference between gender and sex?

-(Students answer)

-Okay, Sex and gender are different. Sex is assigned at birth, while gender is how a person identifies.

(INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY)

-Before we delve to our new lesson, let us first have an activity.

-Our Activity is CALLED “Arranging Jumbled Letters”

-All you have to do is to Arrange the Jumbled Letters to form the correct word.

-The ACTIVITY we made is related to our new lesson today. Be sure to remember the following terms because you will encounter it later as we go along with our topic. Do you have any idea
what we are going to study today?

-Our new lesson today is about Types of Gender.

First lets talk about:

-Heterosexual

-are sexually or romantically attracted to people of the opposite sex.

a. Heterosexual men are sexually or romantically attracted to women.

b. Heterosexual women are sexually or romantically attracted to men.

-Homosexuality

-refers to attraction between people who are the same sex.

-It comes from the Greek word homos, meaning “the same.”

-“Lesbian” means you are a female who is attracted to other females.

Example:

-“Gay” means you are attracted to people of the same gender.

-“Bisexual” means you are attracted to people of more than one gender.
-Transgender is a general term that describes people whose gender identity, or their internal sense of being male, female, or something else, does not match the sex they were assigned at
birth.

-meaning to say, A transgender woman lives as a woman today, but was thought to be male when she was born. A transgender man lives as a man today, but was thought to be
female when he was born.

Now, Identify each statement by what type of gender it is and choose the answer in the box and write the answer on the paper. Answer it for 5 minutes.
