Part 1. Public Opinion (“Vox Pop”) – My three Personas are as follows
This person’s definition of Marketing is; “ marketing is an action where person buy or sell an item “
What do you think Rachel Kim is 26 years old actress and model,she used to study business
influenced their definition? management at Christ college.She is currently working as an full-time actress in
Bollywood,having spend 5 years in the entertainment industry and used to study
Business management which give her a little bit of experience on this field,however
her defition is still too general but it give us an over-all view on the topic.
What do you think Jonson Do is a 40 years old self employ bussiness man,he have interact in many field
influenced their definition? such as investing,hosting,…,beside he is running a multi millions dollar company so
marketing is familiar to him than the others personas. Which explain,why his view on
marketing will have a broader vision and better definition.
This person’s definition of Marketing is; “ Marketing is a way for people to advertise and sell their goods”
What do you think Kelvin Shanks is a 17 year old student at ST Mark’s school.He is currently working as an
influenced their MC Donald employee,this have an mạjor affect on his daily spend.Comming from a
definition? lower class,Kelvin understand the importance of studying and having an staple
income.Kelvin have no sight lines approaching the subject,due to the fact he have never
approach the concept before.There for his view on the subject is too general and lack of
details
Part 3. Synthesis
WHAT IS MARKETING
“Marketing,is a process of getting clients interest toward our goods or service in order to sell or make profit”
->Based on the result I have conducted from AMA,personas and Alvin.J.Silk book ,i have came up with mine own
point up view on definning marketing.
According to AMA,a platform where it values it custommer and always have current data on the marketing
field.AMA definition on marketing:“marketing is a process revovle around developing,promoting and
exchanging offerings that are valuable to the clients”.(Supplied in 2017).Based on definition, we could
understand that AMA really focus on the values of its consummer and seeking the filed to creat value the
costummer.The idea being presented by AMA is really straight forward and it is the common definition for most
people.According to Alvin Silk (profressor of bussiness at Havard), marketing is when a company bring a service
or an item that meet the customer demand.We could see the differences in both definition,however they still
share common view on marketing and it is the process of action that bring values to the customer which i also
on board with.
Public opinion definition are sharing the same view as AMA and Alvin Silk,they all agree that marketing is a
process and it exchange values and profit to the cosumer.Due to lack of professionalism,public view on the topic
seem too general and can not cover all the point and ideas but it still give us an overall look toward the problem
