This Charitable Trust was established in 1957 by Late Shri Jankidas Kapur, Founder Chairman of Atlas Cycle Industries Ltd., Sonepat, to perpetuate the memory of his parents. The trust is providing monetary support to the needy and meritorious students, specially the people of Haryana from the weaker sections along with providing the best environment of Education and Medical facilities in the city of Sonepat. The school was founded by Shri B.D. Kapurji in memory of his father Late Shri Jankidas Kapur ji to spread the excellence in all pursuits. It was started in 1985 on 8 acres of land in Sector 14, Sonepat and it is steadily progressing to become one of the best institutions in the country. Your kind cooperation will definitely lead to the development of our children EXPECTATIONS FROM THE STUDENTS Rules of the Road 1, On arrival at school, students must remain on the school property unless a parent or guardian has directly notified a staff member, giving permission for the student to leave. 2. It is a legal requirement that students must be in areas that are clearly visible to staff at all times. 3. It is a legal requirement that students arriving late for school must report to reception and check in only with permission of a member of the administrative staff. 4. Any potentially dangerous or threatening activity such as having a weapon at school, throwing things, fighting or bullying is totally unacceptable. ey A student in breach of this can expect to face suspension or dismissal from the school. 5. Chewing gum can be a litter and health problem, and is not allowed at school. 6. Students are expected to seek explicit permission from the relevant person(s) before posting any text or audio visual material about any member of the school community. 7. Only senior students (XI/XII) if wish to use two wheelers are permitted with the consent of parents, on condition of equipping with learning licence and regular usage of helmet. Uniform No other clothing should be substituted for school uniform which is to be worn correct whilst at school and travelling to and from the school. Black leather, lace-up school shoes should be cleaned and polished regularly. Complete proper sports uniform must be worn during Physical Recreation days and Sports Competition days. Students are required to change into their sports uniform during the break immediately prior to the Physical Recreation class, and change out of their sports uniforms during the break immediately following the Physical Recreation classes/sessions. Hair Hair should be worn off students’ face and should always be clean, neat and one natural colour, JDKPS students are expected to wear their hair in conventional styles, avoiding extremes of fashion. Girls are expected to make plaits with blue hair band/rubber band. Any behaviour unbecoming of a student In any act of misconduct, Principal shall take suitable action as per observations of the disciplinary committee depending on the gravity of the misconduct which may include:- 1. Oral/Written warning to the students and parents 2. Suspension for 3 to 10 days on the basis of seriousness of misconduct 3. Recovery of loss to the school property 4. Expulsion/rustication from school STUDENTS’ ATTENDANCE & LEAVE POLICY It is expected from every student to be punctual, regular and_ sincere towards the school and studies. A student who absents from the school without prior/ timely sanction shall pay a fine of Rs. 5 per day during which he/she is absent. The name of the student will be struck off from the school rolls if he/she absents without leave for six consecutive days or is continuously on leave for three calendar months. He/she may be re-admitted at the discretion of the school management after the payment of a fresh re-admission fee and fine for the period of absence from the school. School appreciates and encourages full attendance annually through badges and appreciation certificates. We recognize and appreciate regularity of the parents in the PTM’s also. Gy Leave of absence can be granted to a student on genuine grounds on a written request received from the parents. Leave applied on medical grounds must be supported with a medical certificate. Minimum 75% attendance is compulsory for a student to be eligible to appear in annual exams as per CBSE guidelines. Regular latecomers will either be fined Rs.10/- a day or if required, sent back home by the duty teacher of the day. No student is allowed gate pass until or unless there is emergency, that also with the permission of the Principal/Coordinator. - Students who know in advance they will be late to school must submit a diary note from parent/guardian when they arrive. = Parent/guardian of all unexplained absence are notified through SMS for the same. Parents are expected to seek support when irregularity becomes problem. FEE DEPOSIT & OF FICE TRANSACTIONS Kindly follow the schedule of depositing fee timely as per scheduled in the fee book to avoid any inconvenience. School has the authority to strike off the name of child in case fee is not deposited by the 30th day of the due date. Office transaction time 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. OUR ASSEMBLY The school conducts the Assembly for classes IV & V and for classes VI — XII separately on all school working days during which due importance is laid on the Gayatri Mantra Recitation, Prayers, Mass P.T., opportunity to read news, speech, talk on moral and spiritual values and thought of the day by Kul in turn. Every teacher is assigned responsibility of elaborating the thought daily for 3-4 minutes. The Principal addresses the students and makes them aware through her educative, informative and value — oriented talks emphasizing on the personalitydevelopmentthroughselfcompetitionandstrongwillpowerweeklyandon Special days. The teachers in turn give their talk to the students related to Adhyatm on Thursdays to help the students grow morally and spiritually strong and to inculcate the values and Sanskars in them naturally. Spiritual Teachers are also invited time to time to inculcate the values and etiquettes in the students. The gradually increasing portion of contents would prepare students acquire confidence for appearing in the board examination with 100% syllabus.
