PREGNANCY TIPS FOR A SMOOTH TRANSITION

These are the pregnancy tips to embrace a beautiful transition of a body rather
than an exhausting one. We have read about numerous pregnancy tips before,
but I assure you these tips will make your Pregnancy easier. An average
pregnancy lasts for 280 days, which is the most natural transformation of a
body. Women go through a lot physically and emotionally during this time.
These statements nowadays are taken as clichés, but here I would like to add a
few facts to your knowledge.
· Pregnancy expands a woman’s uterus by 500 times its standard size.
· Blood volume in our body increases by 40 -50%, which increases our heart
size.
· A pregnant body gains up to 6.6 liters of fluid.
· As the Pregnancy progresses, our body organs squeeze and adjust to make
room for the baby.
Don’t be surprised; we are God’s best creation, and giving birth to a new life is
extraordinary. So, let’s make this journey enjoyable, loveable and memorable.

PREGNANCY TIPS FOR THE FIRST TRIMESTER

1st trimester lasts till the 13th week; hormonal imbalances are one of the first
things that hit our body. It consists of symptoms like:
· Nausea
· Mood swings
· Weight loss

· Cravings of food and non-food items

· Heightened senses
· Spots/bleeding
· Frequent urination/constipation
These changes are expected, but at the same time, they can be handled
intelligently by going easy with yourself, avoiding things that are nauseous for
you, and eating and smelling items you like. You might hate things that you
loved before or the other way around. You can even crave the weirdest things
you can imagine, like chalk, soil, soap, or paste; it can be anything. Never stop
yourself from having what you like to have, as these unusual cravings release
happy hormones, and you feel relaxed and contented. Stopping yourself from
things you want to do or eat might eventually affect the baby psychologically. I
might sound old school, but a mom of 3 super kids is sharing her experience.

PREGNANCY TIPS FOR 2ND TRIMESTER

2nd trimester lasts for the next 14 weeks; our bodies embrace physical
changes. We experience changes like:
· Growing belly
· Larger breast/ hip size
· Increased foot size
· Water retention on face, feet and hands
· Pigmented skin color
· Dizziness
· Fatigue
· Initial baby moves

All these changes require your attention in this period, but the happy part is
that they don’t last long. They fade off gradually after delivery; the pregnancy
tip in this trimester is to stay active but at the same time relax and rest
whenever you feel like it. Always listen to what your body is saying to you. Never
force your body to do things it doesn’t want to do. Buy easy footwear, and never
use creams for stretch marks. Your hair might grow fast and thick. Your face,
belly, genitals, and breasts may have pigmented skin, and women also
experience a pregnancy glow during this time.

PREGNANCY TIPS FOR 3RD TRIMESTER

3rd trimester lasts for the next 13 weeks. In this period, our body goes through
these changes:
· Leg cramps
· High blood pressure & high blood sugar
· Vaginal / breast discharge
· Vaginal infections
· GERD
· Dental issues
· Stretch marks
· Braxton hicks contractions
· Uncontrollable peeing
· Heavy baby movements
Some of these symptoms require medical assistance, while others are normal.
This period feels the longest because, by this time, our body gets tired. The
weight at this point is essential as 38% of the weight gain is the baby’s. All
these symptoms can be irritating and tiring simultaneously, but try to soothe
yourself by indulging in activities you love to do and spending time with your

loved ones. Experience the beautiful movements of your baby and try to
connect with it. Your baby senses everything you feel by this time.

PREGNANCY TIPS FOR THE PARTUM PERIOD

This period lasts for a minimum of 40 days; this is the most sensitive part of our
Pregnancy as the baby has arrived, and we are going through some physical,
emotional, and psychological changes simultaneously. We might feel:
· Unattractive
· Aloof
· Confused
· Depressed
· Non-worthy
· Nonmotherly
· Guilty
The list can go on; our spouse and family play a vital role in dealing with
postpartum depression. Try spending time with your spouse, baby, and family.
Ask your spouse to care for the baby and give you alone ME time. This will give
you a lot of relief, so make time to pamper yourself.

God has chosen us, the WOMEN, for this job, as we are so strong emotionally
and physically that we can easily overcome all the hormonal and physical
changes in our body. Let me support my opinion with facts:
· Labor pain is the most severe pain ever evaluated.
· Labor pain is estimated to be the pain felt when 20 body bones are fractured
simultaneously.
So, the women worldwide are so powerful that they are responsible for the
world population. Jokes apart, these pregnancy tips are practical for any

average pregnancy. Medicines, exercises, and medical consultation are equally

important. There is a famous saying: 9 months in, nine months out. It takes
around 18 months to recover completely; my pregnancy tip would be to stay
active, don’t stress out, accept the changes and love yourself. I wish every
woman a very happy and healthy pregnancy.
