• Construct the Pile cap and base slab to connect and stabilize the cantilever retaining wall, distributing

the load from the wall to the piles.

• Design and construction of piling platforms.

• Integrity testing of all foundation piles.

• Sonic logging of piles constructed under bentonite support fluid.

• Trial bores, preliminary test piles, and static load testing of 1% (minimum 1 pile) of contract piles.

• Fencing above retaining wall is not covered at this stage of design, however fencing will be part of
scope of contractor. All design and details for connection will be provided by the consultant.

1.1.1 Aesthetics and Finishing:

• Select materials for the compound wall that align with the project's architectural theme and
desired aesthetics.

• Ensure a harmonious visual integration of the cantilever retaining wall system with the overall
project design.

• Apply finishing touches that enhance the appearance of the compound wall while maintaining
structural integrity.

1.1.2 Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the construction process to ensure that
the compound wall meets the specified design and performance criteria.

• Adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance with safety
and structural requirements.

• Conduct regular inspections and testing to verify the integrity of the tension/compression piles,
and overall compound wall.

1.1.3 Durability and Longevity:

• Incorporate appropriate materials that exhibit durability in the coastal environment, considering
factors such as resistance to corrosion and weathering.

• Implement corrosion protection measures, coatings, or treatments to extend the life span of the
structure.

• Ensure that the compound wall is constructed to withstand the potential challenges posed by the
coastal environment.
