Fundamentals of EMC is a highly recommended, unique 2-day Remote Online Training (ROT) that will
provide you with the fundamental of EMC including concepts, standards, and test methods.
This course covers the basics of EMC from its underlying theory to best practice EMC design

Course Instructor
Dr. Syarfa Zahirah Sapuan received a B.Eng. (Hons.) degree in electrical engineering from KUiTTHO, Batu
Pahat, Johor (2006), M.Sc. degree in communication engineering from Nanyang Technological University
(NTU), Singapore, in 2009, and PhD (Electrical Engineering) from UTHM in 2014. She is currently a Senior
Lecturer at the Electronic Engineering Department, UTHM, where she is also an EMC Consultant and EMC
analyst for KVMRT 2 communication systems for Sapura Secured Technologies and EMC Consultant for
LRT3 power system, (PS&DS). She is also an advisor and consultant of an EMC Ambient Measurement for
KVMRT 2 signalling for Bombardier Malaysia Sdn Bhd. She teaches EMC, Electromagnetic field and waves,
and Signaling and Communication for Master in Railway, UTHM. She is an expert in EMC with 15 years of
experience. She is involved with several EMC projects and consultations with Petronas Global Technical
Solution and Rapid Rail Sdn. Bhd. etc. Her research interests include EMC, EMF radiation to humans, EMC Dr. Syarfa’ Zahirah Sapuan
in railways, antenna calibration and design, and radio frequency (RF) measurements. EMC Consultant
