Call for a project fellow in an R&D project funded by “UGC-DAE Consortium for
Scientific Research”

Applications are invited for a purely temporary position of Project Fellow (01) in a research project
“Investigation of heavy metal analysis in soil, water and medicinal plants from areas undergoing
anthropogenic activity in Garhwal Himalaya, India”, Ref: CRS/2022-23/02/837 by UGC-DAE CSR
Kolkata Centre initially for a period of one year (likely to be extended up to 03 years till the duration of
project) as prescribed by the UGC-DAE Consortium of Scientific Research (CSR), based on the satisfactory
performance.

Fellow(Junior)-I HRA earlier than 3 years) with a minimum of 55% marks in the
concerned subject.
2 CSR Project Rs. 16,000 + After completion of 2 years as a CRS Project Fellow (Junior) -I
Fellow(Senior)-I HRA + at least one research paper in a reputed SCI journal
+ assessment of the student by a 3-member expert committee
approved by the Centre-
Director UGC DAE CSR (Kolkata Centre)
3 CSR Project Rs. 31,000 + Same as (1)
Fellow(Junior)-II HRA + valid JEST/GATE/NET-RF/Lectureship/UGCCSIR NET
JRF/Lectureship
+ Ph.D. registration of the student under the Supervision of the
PI at the University, where PI’s institute is affiliated
4 CSR Project Rs. 35,000 + After completion of 2 years as a CRS Project Fellow (Junior)-II
Fellow(Senior)-II HRA + at least one research paper in a reputed SCI journal
+ assessment of the student by a 3-member expert committee
approved by the Centre-Director UGC DAE CSR (Kolkata Centre)

Notes:
1. Before applying, the candidates are strongly advised to check the guidelines of the project at

2. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
3. The above position is purely temporary and contract basis and co-terminus at any time from the project
without any notification (Subject to satisfactory performance).
4. Continuation will depend on the satisfaction of research performance.
 5. The appointment shall be purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or
compensation on termination of the research scheme and the appointed person shall have no claim of
appointment/absorption in the University or UGC-DAE CSR.
6. The student appointed under this project should spend a substantial amount of time at UGC-DAE CSR.
7. The selected candidate may be considered for admission to Ph.D. program as per University eligibility,
rules and statutes.
8. The candidate with an overall good academic record, relevant knowledge/ research experience,
publications and report writing skills shall be preferred.
9. No separate interview letter will be issued, and no TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
10. Candidates should produce all the original documents and self-attested copies of all the documents
along with a brief CV at the time of the interview. No interim correspondence will be entertained.
