1. Introduction
The work has the theme of healthy eating, since healthy eating is fundamental for the
correct functioning of our body, which is why in this work we are going to give the
definition of healthy eating, and with that we can talk about its importance, and will be
addressed healthy foods and unhealthy foods and finally I will talk about obesity, causes
and consequences

1.1. Healthy eating
A healthy diet is one that provides all the nutrients our body needs in an adequate
amount.
Healthy eating is a well-balanced diet that provides nutrients, vitamins and minerals in
the right proportions for the proper functioning of the body. For a healthy diet, it is
important to have variety, balance, quantity control (eat what suits you) and quality of
food.
The importance of having a healthy diet should not be new to you. Imagine that you
have a car. For the car to run, it needs gasoline. But if you put adulterated gasoline, for
example, you will have problems with the engine. Right?
Our body works with the same logic. For it to work, it needs its fuel. Proteins,
carbohydrates, fibers, minerals, vitamins are some examples.
Each food group has its specific function, and understanding the correct proportion
necessary for the proper functioning of the organism is essential. Otherwise, the body

breaks down. Diseases such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, gastritis, osteoporosis,
migraine, gout, anemia and many others can be caused by an unbalanced diet.
Pay attention to signs of an imbalance in your health, and look at your diet. Are you
fueling your organism the way it deserves?
As we mentioned above, fresh and minimally processed foods should be the basis of
daily consumption. This is because, when consumed in great variety and being mostly
of plant origin, they are the key to a nutritionally balanced diet and promoter of a
sustainable food system.
In the healthy food category, 29 items were included, 18 types of vegetables (lettuce,
arugula, cabbage, broccoli, zucchini, okra, eggplant, tomato, etc.), ten types of fruit
(banana, orange, mango, pineapple, grapes, açaí, apples, etc.), as well as beans and
other legumes (lentils and chickpeas).

1.4. unhealthy food
We can start by saying that an unhealthy diet is one that is incapable of providing the
body with the correct amounts and types of nutrients for its proper functioning.
In the category of unhealthy foods, the following were found: soft drinks, boxed
juices, sausages, bread, instant noodles, pizzas, hamburgers, margarine, frozen
French fries, mayonnaise, ready-to-eat salad dressings, packaged snacks, biscuits
sweets, ice cream, sugary breakfast cereal, among others.
1.5. Obesity
Obesity is the accumulation of fat in the body, almost always caused by a consumption
of energy in food, higher than that used by the body for maintenance and carrying out
day-to-day activities. That is: food intake is greater than the corresponding energy
expenditure.
6
Obese people are more likely to develop conditions such as high blood pressure,
diabetes, joint problems, breathing difficulties, gout, gall stones and even some forms of
cancer.

1.8. Conclusion
Having done the work, I concluded and had several experiences about healthy eating,
where I saw that healthy eating is very important in human society because it is
fundamental for the correct functioning of our organism, and also contributes to the
good functioning of the intestine, Disease prevention cardiovascular diseases and more,
and I saw that an unhealthy diet is one that is incapable of providing the body with the
correct amounts and types of nutrients for its proper functioning. And that obesity is the
accumulation of fat in the body almost always caused by energy consumption in food.
